Yup, seriously very2 disappointed this problem.

From my testing after reset & pairing (headset with usb wired),
when switch button off-on, still pair. Plug out/in usb dongle, still pair.

But when no wired, confirm lost pairing. Dunno why?.
Me..headache + blunder. Search google, no solid solution.

When do testing, all wifi activity off including modem & ds4.

Burn money like that..equal 3-4 pre owned game..Lel

Yea if still attach the charger wired and off it, it still connect when u completely off all no power connect the headset, for sure need pair again, very annoying. Its very obvious if the software corrupted but just Sony not fixing it, hope nx update file would fix the problem.

Nothing can do, just pray SONY read/listen and go with update firmware

As you mention before, battery plug out..the problem still there. So, nothing more can do.

For new owner..watch out @ maybe your headset become zombie

tried my Razer Kraken 7.1 USB on my PS4 sometimes ago and found out the sound was so low. even after I set the audio volume on PS4 to max also no different.maybe it was design for PC.

I hve the gold headset..so far no prob
But i didmt try the companion app

Better dun try, stay default/factory setting. What I read, got owner gold headset same problem after upload mode.

How other owner, especially upload mode to headset. Everything going smooth?.

Currently use via wired. Waste VSS 7.1 cannot use. Just plain stereo.

I tried fifa..i dont feel any different between vss or stereo..there a different but it looks minor to me
But iinm i tried it at soundtrack in menu..not during game..during game not sure its 7.1 or stereo but seems like it is similar to my 1st sony ps3 headset 2012 version

But i do heard gun shot coming from which side in cs go in pc..but its not 7.1..
Bass is just awful

Back to my headset, notice this. Dunno it's normal @ not.
Headset in battery drain condition. When pull switch off, notice led blue blinking.
