QUOTE(ricstc @ Oct 5 2011, 09:00 PM) To clarify, you are on 2.3.3 Global ROM (assuming you have flashed it in the past) and have rooted your phone with Gingerbreak, and now you did an OTA update to 2.3.4 and after the process, checking it still shows 2.3.3? yeah last time i flashed to 2.3.2 global rom, Gingerbreak it and OTA to 2.3.3. with no problem. But now when try to OTA to 2.3.4 the error appeared after phone restarting. i've tried 4 times, the latest attempt i removed memory card and simcard and update through wifi, but still can't update.Have you tried again? Do. |

QUOTE(ricstc @ Oct 6 2011, 11:35 PM) So it is confirmed then. The reason is clearly this. haha, maybe i better wait for ICS instead..- in the exact situation and setup you have, it is not possible to upgrade to 2.3.4 via Wifi OTA. - you would have to repeat the SAME process you did in the past, that is flash Global ROM 2.3.2, Gingerbreak it - when fully satisfied all is ok (I suggest you also wipe clean data when flashing), then Wifi OTA to 2.3.4 (as you did 2.3.3 before) Very ma-fan right? What to do - that's the only way to get root and 2.3.4. Good luck and report back when you're successful |

QUOTE(rayzrblade @ Dec 23 2011, 12:36 AM) i gave up on playing HD games on that slow poke. i suggest u try using link2sd to save ur internal memory..just some simple games to burn time. today i switch back to Go launcher , now even GO launcher lags a bit now. haha. guide here >> xperiablog - link2sd guide i've allocated 1gb from my sd for internal memory usage, so actual internal memory remain >150mb anytime. but this apps need ur phone to be rooted. for other xperia owners that like to use cloud storage service, hurry up and download 'box' from market under sony ericsson. u'll get 50 gb of cloud storage if u register now using ur 2011 xperia phone. source >> Box 50gb cloud storage |

QUOTE(pityboi @ Dec 27 2011, 05:01 PM) i'm playing HD Grave Defence with no lag.. But, play the "Third Blade", it is super lag =.= link2sd is better coz unlike app2sd it only transfer some of the memory to sdcard (sometimes part of the app will remain in internal memory), and some apps u can't transfer to sdcard at all. with link2sd, u can transfer the whole apps to sd card that it recognizes as internal memory when phone first boot. example - adobe flash player -u can save until 12mb just removing this apps only.Added on December 27, 2011, 5:02 pm bro, the link2sd izit same with app2sd?? which one is better? tq QUOTE Link2SD uses a secondary partition on your SD card and uses it as another segment of internal memory. Link2SD moves and links apk files, dalvik-cache (.dex) files and lib files onto this partition, which the OS mounts on boot. The great thing is that these linked apps remain available when your phone is connected in mass storage mode as Android only unmounts the first partition. Also, you don’t need to worry about linking something you weren’t meant to as Link2SD doesn’t allow you to link certain system applications. |
