2) how do i send multiple sms?

the lock thing you need to root your phone first
Multiple sms meant? sending to multiple users? If yes than just select new message, press the option button then select add recipient

seems like xloud is here, wonder if they do anything with the camera software

New software available for your Xperia™ smartphone
Update your software to benefit from:

xLoud™ – boosts your music when played through the speaker
Stereo recording – shoot video with high-quality stereo sound
Digital home – enjoy entertainment content stored in your phone on DLNA certified media devices
New themes and Landscape mode for your home screen
To upgrade, search for new software in your phone or use PC Companion .

Note: The availability of new software is market and operator dependent.

The Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread update will hit the whole Xperia lineup from this year - PLAY, Arc, neo, pro, mini, mini pro, active and ray. It will bring along a few nice features:
Sony 3D sweep panorama functionality - you can take panorama shots and watch them (in 2D) on your phone, (in 2D) on your HTDV or (in 3D) on your 3D HDTV
Screen capture - grab a screenshot anywhere from your Xperia
Enhanced Facebook integration
Google Talk with Video Chat (for Xperia phones with front-facing camera)
Swipe text input - works just like Swype, but it's called T9 trace
USB on-the-go functionality - it works only when you've connected your Xperia phone to the Sony Ericsson LiveDock. It supports wired and wireless USB accessories such as keyboard, mouse and gamepads. There is no word on USB drives support yet. rclxms.gif
Android 2.3.4 update will land on the 2011 Xperia family this October

My wife complain her arc getting slower by the day so I root her phone to freeze all unused app, SE bloatware including timescape and their sync app (about 30 app  blink.gif  sweat.gif ). Have to downgrade to 2.3.2, root, then upgrade back to 2.3.3. I want to upgrade to latest firmware but the software update ask me to use computer to upgrade. To my understanding I will lost my root capability if I update using SEUS or PC Companion right?

ya, you'll lose it unless you flash it

Hi, to arc owners, may I ask why do you choose arc over HTC phones? HTC has so many new phones coming out, it's hard to keep track of them...but currently I'm considering Desire S. It's more affordable slightly than Sensation, which looks better.

I was all about to buy the Desire S when I saw this Arc thread...being a Sony Ericsson phone user all my life (but non-smartphons ones), I've been a bit disappointed and wanted to try something different. But no Iphones, which is over my budget, lol.

Is this Xperia arc worth getting? Looks beautiful...

If you found that HTC is not bad y not go ahead. If you want to know y we prefer arc, just read a few page back and you'll know. rclxms.gif
