MVNO - well we were toying with these buss model way back in 2001, but somehow VC was not convinced it could work, so no funding for us.
this buss model didn't catch-up even in Europe, US or even Asia. Comparable will be those by Airasia (tune ??) running on celcom's network or some telcos. i wonder what or who is their target market ie the vertical? |

Before IPO launch, go and announce rugi, sure price will reflect badly..
Either is wrong strategy, or it is part of the strategy.. But I am out, after even looking at the name "XOX". Name already sarks for me.. Probably can see this share to 40 cents range in no time |

This should be a warning to many people:
I was a very close observer at one of these 'fake' ACE (MESDAQ) IPOs a few years ago. It was fascinating to see at close quarters how the investor community was deceived by the whole exercise. The counter was 0063 DISTECH. It was in 2004/2005 IIRC. The lead IB and sponsor was Public Mutual Bank and they were owed about RM8/9 million by the company with no prospect of ever getting it back. The company had MMSC status as well. The IPO price was RM0.35 The bank 'sponsored' them and basically forced them to IPO on MESDAQ and they raised 15 million of which RM8.xx million went to pay back Public Bank and the bank creamed off another 1.5 to 2.0 million for listing, legal and professional fees. The rest of the money went to buy the directors new BMWs and Mercedes...and the MD's wife a "SMART' car!!! The company's history is well known since their IPO. It was delisted last year amid scandal, confusion and losses of private wealth. Think it last traded at RM0.005 or something....  The banks got their fees, the loans got repaid and those NUMPTIES who bought the stock got taken to the cleaners!!Boleh!!!!  P.S. Actually, what really surprised me was how they managed to fake the accounts and keep the whole scam afloat for so long before going belly-up.... SC changed all the rules. Back in the 1980s, those IPOs need a profit guarantee from the directors, the issue price is capped by SC. Lots of hot money from overseas, Local funds cannot invest overseas.
Now, no need profit guarantee. IPO issuers free to sell at any price they wish. No hot money from overseas. Local funds can invest overseas. Who to blame?? All issuers of IPOs want to sell at maximum price. The public made fool of fools. Back the, IPOs, pink forms are like goldmines. Who spoil this game?? Think carefully before u apply. Don't trust investment banks handling the IPO. Remember CIMB n JCY ? Investors have short memories. |

My experience thus far indicate that there are two categories of IPO;
one: The kind of robin hood type. may not necessary overprice but upon listing price was jacked up like no tomorrow...and gradually offloaded over time. Here the IPO who are real flippers can make his/her money. Eg: Mexter (but query by BMSB/SC spoil everything though i managed to flip out RM3k from it), I.Jacobs etc. two: Those of parasite type. The kind that only take and don't give back. Eg: XOX, Connectcounty, OSKVI Personally i believe that the investor must know their stuff well before joining the band wagon. As the saying goes again & again CAVEAT EMPTOR. Lesson learnt. 1. This lousy company has been overpriced by the sponsor. Personally even 40 sen also very expensive...  2. Panic sells when the price keep on dropping.... If not they will really jump out of building... 3. Recent sentiment on IPOs..... 4. Wrong timing of the announcement.... or purposely did...?? Never apply IPOs... and now I scared!! |

It added that XOX predominantly targeted the Chinese community, which includes blue-collars, business owners, foreign Chinese nationals and youths. “As per agreement with Celcom, XOX's advertising and marketing activities can only be in English and Mandarin. “While this does not restrict XOX from acquiring other customer segments, it would limit the company's opportunity to reach out to the Malay populace.” Inter-Pacific also said XOX lacked both financial and operations records, adding that the company had been loss-making for the past four years. “We do not hold as much confidence as XOX's management on its spirited forecast for its current financial year (FY11) in terms of subscriber acquisition and higher ARPU (average revenue per user) assumptions.” According to its prospectus, XOX expects a net profit of RM19.7mil for FY11 against a net loss of RM15.9mil posted a year ago. Aiyo, what a bad start for this IPO... Luckily I did not put my hard-earned money into this XXX company, otherwise I'll be burned badly...
IMO, even though most IPOs have been dismal failures thus far, one success story has to be Cypark... Those of you who bought it at IPO price of $1.10 can laugh all the way to the bank even today, at a price of $2.28 (considered a fall already, they were as high as $3.10 earlier this year!)... Still, I'm looking forward to some of the upcoming giant IPOs, including the Ananda-linked Bumi Armada and supposedly one of Felda's major subsidiaries... However, Oldtown is one that has to be watched carefully, it can either sink like XXX or follow Cypark and shoot to the sky! |

Later, somehow the CEO was mentioning (in the Edge or Buss times) that their ARPU will be the same level as other telco players.. this makes me wonder some forumers or silent readers are feeding info to XOX of what being discussed here.that could good and bad... good: at least they know what happened out there while they enjoying their tons of ringgits..... bad: to the investing public who are trapped....  |

XOX falls 19% on non-release of audited financial statements
XOX Bhd saw its shares plunge as much as 19% after it announced yesterday that the company would not be able to issue its audited financial statements (AFS) by yesterday for the financial year ended June 30, 2013. At 2.52 pm, XOX shares fell 2 sen or 15% to 11 sen on trades of 24.98 million shares. It was the eighth most active counter. Earlier, it fell to a low of 10.5 sen, losing 19% of its value. In a statement to the stock exchange yesterday, the mobile operator said the failure to issue the AFS within the relevant timeframe was due to the firm’s auditors requiring additional documentation on discounts/rebates granted recently by a major trade creditor. The relevant timeframe construes a period of not more than four months from the close of the financial year, stipulated under the Bursa Securities ACE Market Listing Requirements. In view of the above, the expected date of issuance of the AFS is on or before Nov 8, the statement added. “If the company fails to issue the AFS within five market days after the expiry of the relevant timeframe that is by Nov 8 this year, Bursa Securities shall suspend trading in the securities of XOX,” said the stock exchange. |

The Board of Directors of XOX Bhd (“XOX” or “the Company”) wishes to announce that the Company will not be able to issue its Audited Financial Statements for the financial year ended 30 June 2013 (“AFS”) by 31 October 2013 i.e. within a period of not more than 4 months from the close of the financial year (“Relevant Timeframe”) to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) as required under Paragraph 9.23(2) of Bursa Securities ACE Market Listing Requirements.
The reason for failing to issue the AFS within the Relevant Timeframe is due to the requirement by the Company’s auditors for additional documentation pertaining to discounts/rebates which was recently granted by a major trade creditor. In view of the above, the expected date of issuance of the AFS is on or before 8 November 2013. If the Company fails to issue the AFS within 5 market days after the expiry of the Relevant Timeframe i.e. 8 November 2013 (the last day of this 5 market day period shall hereinafter be referred as the “Suspension Deadline”), in addition to any enforcement action that the Bursa Securities may take, Bursa Securities shall suspend trading in the securities of XOX. The suspension shall be effected on the market day after the expiry of the Suspension Deadline and will be uplifted on the market day following issuance of the AFS unless otherwise determined by Bursa Securities. As such, the suspension will be effected on 11 November 2013. Pursuant to Rule 9.28(5) of the LR, if a listed issuer fails to issue the outstanding financial statements within 5 market days after the expiry of the relevant timeframe stated in Rule 9.23(2) of the LR ("Relevant Timeframe") (the last day of the 5 market days is referred to as "Suspension Deadline"), in addition to any enforcement action that Bursa Securities may take, Bursa Securities shall suspend the trading in the securities of such listed issuer. XOX Bhd has proposed to undertake a renounceable right issue of up to 356 million new shares, on a basis of one rights share for every one existing XOX share, coupled with up to 356 million free detachable warrants on the basis of one warrant for every one right shares subscribed. Meanwhile, the mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) also proposes to reduce its share premium by up to RM32.73 million, and half of its shares’ par value of 10 sen each currently. Following the capital reduction exercise, there will be a consolidation of every two shares of 5 sen par each, into one new share. To raise more funds, XOX has also proposed to issue 190 million new shares to parties “to be identified later”, at an issue price of 10 sen, to raise RM19 million. The proceeds raised will be utilised to settle the amount owing to Celcom Axiata Bhd, for the usage of Celcom’s mobile and digital network infrastructure. As of Aug 31, 2014, the amount owing to Celcom stood at RM22.83 million. Apart from that, XOX also proposes to establish a share issuance scheme (SIS) of up to 30% of its issued and paid-up share capital, at any one time within the duration of the scheme. |

at the time because xox is a new player in telco industry with less than 200,000 subcribers that means subcribers not enough, that why in 2012 years xox is a losses company. |

XOX is an MVNO ie. it rents its network wholesale from those MNOs. XOX's margins are razor thin n even the increase in subscribers does not improves its EPS greatly. This said, looking at its charts, XOX is indeed on the uptrend maybe for reasons other than the increase in subscribers.

The shareholders of the Company should note that the Par Value Reduction does not affect the number of and the rights attached to the existing Shares held by them. All Shares held in the securities account of the shareholders of the Company shall be unaffected, except for the reduction in their par value from RM0.10 to RM0.05 per Share.
can anyone share what does this mean?if i have rm 2000 worth of stock it will be reduced to rm 1000? |

However, as a result of the above Share Consolidation exercise, Mr X?s 1000 XOX shares of RM0.05 each in his CDS account will be adjusted to 500 XOX shares of RM0.10 each on the night of 17 November 2015 which is the Book Closing Date. IF you buy XOX shares today(T+0) and sell on T+3 , make sure you only sell 50% of shares you bought. The rest ?? NO MORE !

I expected it will drop just below or around 20cent before go up again. Its need momentum to go up.
