Had the same problem with black ants. What did I do? Remove the HDD and start shaking the laptop vigorously til they decide to run out and then CyberClean all of them.

already said use torchlight lah.. smoke no use lah.. later the smoke all stick inside the lappy!

ya, i agree with u...quite worry if those ants build up a nest inside...but i have no experience opening a laptop, sked spoil the laptop only...maybe worth a try with the blowing..

Added on May 24, 2011, 5:20 pmas i know, those small red ants attracted to the battery liquid...cause i got whole bunch of energizer left unuse in drawer...after a few months..the alkaline liquid flow out...and there are tons of small red ants there...

i like the torch light idea, but it may take sometimes to kill them 1 by 1. once u are certain that the ants nest isnt inside ur lappy, try this ants killer:

just leave it in the open air for 5 hours. everything will be dried up. i did this to my phone b4 xD

A laptop isn't as simple in construction as a phone. Even if you did dry everything, there's no guarantee that everything can work properly at 100% again.

just cyberclean them.. haha..

dude.. this i uses b4 lah.. 1 ant ate then he passed to another so on.. routine. end up all dead but u wan the ant dead inside the laptop? if white ants lagi worst! this can't solve it!
vaccum & hair dryer is the fastest way!

ya, agree....the poison food is the most effective way to Kill the ants but leave the ants' body inside the laptop....

if burn, no more laptop

doubt that...if those ants already make nest inside my laptop...there would be tons of ants crawling out when i shake them or lure them...i think is their scouting crew...

how you smoke them out? use cigar smoke??
they want to make nest. so they ask the scout to check ideal for winter season..
try clean the place... might be discover something? nearby nest ka...

burn something and put ur lappy inside the smoooooke xD
