Hey shahz,

Any chance USB devices were working with the device? Flashdrives, mice maybe, etc.

got any commission from asus???  tongue.gif

Hahaha..I swear under oath, I'm taking no monetary comissions from ASUS..This is solely personal enthusiasm sweat.gif

QUOTE(gerrardling @ May 23 2011, 04:28 PM)
how long is the warranty ? their service is as good as SIS or not in terms of warranty
*
Warranty is one year. If you go directly to ASUS for warranties, you will be served very well. Based on my own experience smile.gif

That was the initial plan. In fact, the 150 orders was what I proposed to them. Initially, the plan was to sell it on my blog, but to avoid bias against users who would be late in orders, they sold it on ASUS' facebook instead. My idea was to give the keyboard for free when you buy the tablet and limited to only 20 devices. But keyboards did the mess up. By the time the keyboards arrive, plenty of users would already have the tablet so it wouldn't be that hyped anymore. So we dropped the idea and kept only the facebook 150 plan.

ASUS's warranty is international. If you buy it from UK, you can still get it fixed in Malaysia. But why bother buying a device from so far away when you have it in your own country smile.gif Even UK are getting their keyboards very slowly. PaulOBrien himself got almost one month late after ordering - and he tried several channels.

USB devices are working perfectly. I was unable to use the USB mouse though - probably because this device is an engineering unit. I can confirm this once I get my own production unit though smile.gif

Good News!

ASUS just called me up and they told me that they are seeking the approval from Taiwan for selling the keyboard at RM300 for the 150 users. They said that they are 90% confirmed and the chances are very high that you will be able to buy the keyboard at RM300 when they come in. smile.gif

For now we can only buy this monster by pre-ordering only? No retail sales? I'm so desperate to get her. When will her be available for retail sales like in LowYat? drool.gif

32GB version is still very vague at the moment. Honestly, I'm much keen in looking forward towards the 3G version than the 32GB one smile.gif

I've seen some videos that usb mouse works with the dock, even the wireless logitech mouses works on it haha

anyway, that is some real good news as there are really many out there had the same concern as myself and some already giving up the pre-order because there are no confirmation from Asus Malaysia.

For myself, I'm gonna collect it if they can give a written confirmation about the KDS deal, if not my pre-order slot is up for grab tongue.gif
