that's y i said momentus xt consider the fastest if compare with HDD only.

It only fast when it has learnt your pattern.
Other than that, it just like ordinary HDD..

dunno cow y wanna use momentus? maybe purposely find a reason that his CCC can't start so let this opportunity to format his OS.

mine only normal momentus. that time i thought mine is XT, i was like but then i found out not

Any increase in temp or power consumption ?

the hdd has been working non-stop since i boot it up... transfering gigabytes from my previous HDD, feel the heat on the palm.... in the past, i feel the heat if i leave my notebook overnight torrenting... but already feel this heat now... it is not unpleasant though...

have not test the power consumption, but should be higher lor, since i was using the WD Blue previously...

w/o the stable firmware.. u will felt the heat & vibrate. a lot ppl got issue on XT. u can ask astria since he used more than 1 yr liau gua.

so far the heat and vibration is not really a problem...

overall, performance still improve because it is a 7200 RPM drive. i guess the performance will increase further after a period of using.

after less than 24 of many installations, my current boot time:

Kingston SSD is just basic SSD, better aim higher

my boot quite worst 40~50 nearly 1 min right now.. dunno what happened? if less than 15sec that would be better.

My boot now keep increasing, now its 23 sec
Fresh install was 12 sec..

In SSD, pretty much you get what you paid for..
