planning to buy a new HDD and reformat 3820tg...
so, Momentus XT a good choice? cant afford SSD heard that it's pretty noisy |

i just RMA my harddisk.
harddisk failure that even bios cannot detect. btw, i also thinking to install SSD. anyone know acer 4820TG can support which SSD? |

i got doubt coz the technician that service my laptop says that our motherboard doesn't support some newer SSD. anyway, i am planning to reformat my hdd following the steps in last thread. Or is there any links to newer steps to reformat? |

ODD? apa tu? paiseh i read it & sound u bought new ssd? u bought nano pendrive for 8GB? i hate this pendrive damn easy to bend.
wanna ask u bout the pagefile shit. now the opit pc stop BSOD but my pagefile is 0. so does it ok? my lappy r get slower & slower during boot time. |

So far so good for the pendrive. 0 pagefile is fine if you don't get warning run out of memory... Defrag your laptop ? |

defrag once last mth when my hdd only 250gb. i did the xbootmgr -trace boot -prepSystem -verboseReadyBoot for twice around 2 months time liau. i keep another 250gb b4 w/o using it. last few week i already extend 250gb. so now C: got 480gb++
analyze only 1~2% no need defrag again rite? i disable a lot services. so might be services right? |

sometimes 50s, 40s, 30s ++
shut down or restart quite fast but when switch on, loading the background screen damn long. i also din use any rainmeter shit leh. simple apple wallpaper nia. Rainmeter doesn't add much delay in my case, only 0.5 sec
Readyboost, you mean the plug in pendrive and using it for readyboost ? |
