Are AMD processors equally as good as Intel's?

People these days wouldn't go for laptops with ATI compare to laptops with nvidia which has proper features like the PhysX and optimus. But nvidia lacks a setting like overwritting the aspect ratio when playing a game with a below 1200x800 resolution. Everytime I play online games like Sudden Attack, it isn't playing in full screen with "black bars" on both sides. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

well.... honestly speaking.... amd cpu couldn't match intel... haha.... if you take an i5 match it up againts a6 , cpu wise... a6 gona lose.. cz it's older design....
BUT.. whut amd loses in tech race, they win in $$.. haha they supply the competition to intel. their prices are visibly lower than intel.. haha
Also... their new concept of allrounded apu compared to intel's pure cpu power race is just perfect for the budget notebook range.
bottomline.. gt $, splurge on higher end intel+nvidia/ati..., limited budget, go for amd APU+ati... cheap.. and powerfull for their price range.
at rm1899...... the new acer lappy hav a6 apu+ati radeon.... for an intel solution? mere i3+integrated hd3000... see the diff?
