currently my dxdiag shows its using my intel HD graphics. In my nvidia control panel, im using 'auto select' for Preferred graphics processor at 3D settings. Will my laptop switch the usage of graphic card by itself when i play games?

Will my laptop switch the usage of graphic card by itself when i play games? if theres a game u want to play, install a desktop shortcut for it, right click and there shud be an option to use nvidia for that game. also, if you are using steam (for CS for example), make sure hl.exe isstarted up with nvidia graphics not intel from the nvidia graphics menu. yes use autosolect for preferred graphics processor at 3d settings. it will not necessarily switch graphics for all games with this, but it usually well. however, because it mite not this is why u need to customize exactly which programs the nvidia gpu should be used with in the nvidia control panel "program settings" also, make sure java and java.exe in the programs settings are being used with NVIDIA, not intel, just click browse under pgrams settings and look for java and java.exe gluck |

GPU/ Video RAM is basicaly related to screen resolutionIt's not really important unless your connecting to 2 Ext monitor or using Graphic Design softwares... For game actually 512mb of video memory already enough. Can play 1080p smoothly Added on July 1, 2011, 6:31 pm ![]() ![]() This post has been edited by Trance4eva: Jul 1 2011, 06:31 PM |
