My logic is nano still not enough centre core to attach that's y the 'hair' seems to be attached to each other... About the salt, other old timers more appropriate to comment Dunno y at the moment i took this pic, most of my shrimps gather here... Thank god i bought 8 crs last deepavali, now i can see 7 bcos this is my first time trying keeping shrimps other than ghost shrimp and for first timer it is not easy to keep them in good shape... Hope they'll be fine with the marimos around

QUOTE(Gengson @ Nov 9 2011, 05:03 PM) I got my marimo 2 days ago, but i seldom see the bubble attached with the marimo. Is that the light not strong enough or any problem? I worry it will die if the marimo dont go through the photosynthesis process. the bubbles might be there just too small for our bare eyes to see... as long as the marimos are green, nothing to worry about...

If u wanna hv shrimp better to hv them in proper tank with water movement/circulation... Even ghost shrimp (food for bigger fish) in lfs they put air bubble. If your marimo is healthy/green sure got bubbles, just maybe too small to see with our bare eyes...

Try to put in darker place so that the photosynthesis slow down and less bubble produced. I believe it will sink...

QUOTE(T09 @ Nov 16 2011, 11:45 PM) guys, does it matter whether the artificial light tat we provide light source for photosynthesis is in white or yellow color? cos i read thru the thread and i rmb some1 mentioned UV light is not suitable for marimos as it wil kill them, izit true? not all lights are uv lights... so as long as your light not uv light should be ok... normally if it is uv light, it'll be mentioned on the box of the light... btw, yes uv will kill marimos... so when u use any light and there are signs the marimos turning yellowish or browning, u may stop using the light...
