pros and con bout alienware ah? basically there arent, most prolly cons due to because their always sell something which damn overprice and lousy. Alienware used to be a be selling a damn good notebook but after taken by dell, i am just disappointed with it. For asus wise, price is good, but there are many complains regarding the quality of the notebook.

This is how i pimp my top cover on my lappy. After using all the available carbon fibre sticker i have, i manage to pimp the top cover of the lappy only. I dun have enough to pimp the keyboard, so no picture on the keyboard cry.gif

user posted image
this is how a 14inch lappy compare to 18.4 inch.

Nice beastie o.o

May I know what's the voltage on your AC Adapter?
NP8130 - 120W
NP8150 - 180W
NP8170 - 180W
NP7280/NP7282 - ???W

Where can I get carbon fiber sticker in SG? How much does it cost?
*
7280 is 300watt per power brick, if u buying 2 graphic card with 2 power brick = 600watt.

The carbon fibre that i am able to fnd now is 25sgd per square meter

LOL, all the while I thought NP7280/7282 has the same size as NP8170 which only comes with 2 HDD compartment. After checked in xoticpc website, it's true lol, NP7282 comes with 3 HDD compartments, switching the optical drive bay to HDD bay will give it a total of 4 HDD, really a monster!

I hope ricky is willing to show a detailed of laptop parts in his laptop's belly like how I did for my NP8170-S1 review. tongue.gif

By the way, ricky, isn't it 17.3" instead of 18.4"?
*
lol, then i need to naked my whole notebook to snap some piktar. The size of the lappy is 18.4 but the screen viewing size is 17.3. Correct me if i am wrong tongue.gif

Added on May 27, 2011, 12:59 pmhow about the battery life??If no gaming how long it can tahan
*
hmm, u mean usb hub? or usb from pcmcia slot?

for the batt duration, judging from the power it consume + small battery pack, i can say is bout 30 minute max. Wat i read from notebook review forum, they say is roughly 30 min too. i haven try yet xD

Oh. If you are in Singapore, there is another alternative.

In Sim Lim Square, one of the shop specializes in doing skins for laptops.

I think he charge $25 for Carbon Fiber sticker + stick-on service.
*
i dun trust them le, handling them 3k+ lappy for them just because they are specialist in carbon fiber sticking, i still dun feel safe, i rather i stick myself xD

Nope. Not that shop. It is a rather small shop. I will say half a shop. Specializes in making custom skins for various devices. It is the only one in Sim Lim. Custom Skins cost like 45+ i think. Carbon Fiber sticker are cheaper.
*
u wanna bring ur lappy for a custom skins ah? @@ biggrin.gif

That's the pity part about NP7282, if it came with a secondary generation i7 Core, then it should be perfect! Alienware M18X's tech spec is still better.
But for Sager NP8170, it's a one-to-one fight with Alienware M17X-R3.
*
but u know, running a desktop processor, it is as strong as second gen processor xD
