where are you leaving to? check the price over there, could be even cheaper. i did kinda regret buying my 8130 early in March since I found out that I'd be in US since June sleep.gif".

why did sager phased out 2630qm. The first tactic to change the original i7-2630qm/gtx460m combo default -> i5-2430m/gtx560m was already a sad thing, now this? Sager is growing weird i tell you. i5-2430m is only a 2C/4T CPU, not a native 4C CPU. HT utilization is bad compared to having a native core, depending on how the CPU instructions works out.

guys..where can i get the standard power plug(not USA plug) for my adapter?
*
just go get at any computer store (although some store might not have it). The wire is universal for most laptop batteries (well, probably all, i've never seen a power plug that uses the same wire used for desktops hehe)

just wondering, does anyone who recently bought NP8130 (the barebone version, which I assume fitted with core-i5) wants a 2nd hand i7-2630QM. I might be upgrading mine next week to i7-2760QM to get the VT-d/TXT support do so some portable in-vehicle infotainment in my car once I'm back in Malaysia.

any 12.7" should fit (although some argue that several brands of caddy case have a bad connectivity problem).

From my understanding, if you refer to the build spec, the optical bay drive is 12.7", so you should replace one with the same height.

nah, it is not noob, you just haven't learn the lingo yet tongue.gif

that's weird, i wouldn't expect battery to be dead in just 2 days.

what i understand when battery won't charge to full is because its capability degrades over time, hence the reason we see the laptop stopped charging at some percentage over time.

download from here : http://www.pbus-167.com/, install, run app, then check the battery tab.

hmm. that could also be one of the case, whereby your charger isn't charging your notebook. hopefully that's the problem, better to have that than a broken adapter/battery

@jakel, you can just call your bank after like 3-7 days your credit card is charged for the item, and then tell them that you want to make monthly payment for that purchase alone. that should work, at least it worked for my case (maybank)

that... is normal my friend.

I too had the same experience couple of years ago, bought a compaq laptop with AMD Turion, just to figure out in 2 weeks time that they came out a new model with AMD Turion X2 for same price I bought. I was like "what the..."

that's why I bought my 8130 at the early phase, so that I don't suffer from such disappointment anymore.

been having this np8130 since late March last year, not seeing any issues at all. have you make sure the notebook power supply is working well? make sure the light is on and then try measure it using DMM. My first instinct tells me that that probably the power supply isn't working, so you might not realized that you have been draining the battery till it needs to be recharged, hence the reason you can't boot with battery only.

using np8130 with GTX560m. version has been updated to the latest.

been experiencing random flickering on screen and sometimes a message will popoutat the taskbar saying that the Nvidia has experienced and problem and has recovered from it. but if i dont restart my laptop it will keep happening. so whats the problem actually.

might be driver issue. have you tried downgrading the driver? I'm using 280.26, no glitches seen.

Well maybe since there hasn't been a lot of Malaysians owning Sager notebooks previously, so it is rare to hear issues?

this does sounds too general, but you might wanna check the IP you're getting. Sometimes it is just some router which have dummy dhcpd implementation that it can't lease the right IP, causing you not to be connected to internet. what i usually do is to manually set the IP/submask/gateway/dns server, and then once i got internet, change them back to "set automatically".

i think you meant the improved P150/P170HM shown at Computex last year? Seen it at a video from NBR website Are we able to customize and add in the backlit ourselves then? the keyboards are still chiclet aren't they?

QUOTE(kahjye @ Mar 16 2012, 10:28 PM)
guys , where can i find the latest wireless driver for my sager np8130?

cant detect my iphone`s hotspot seh...geram =.=
*
not sure got any latest wan lar: http://www2.sagernotebook.com/pages/notebo...roductType=8130

hmm, sager isn't giving out the latest one haha. trolled at realtek website, found a 2012-built driver.

http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloads...&Downloads=true

look for RTL8188CE (when you open up Control Panel->Device Manager->Network adapters, you would notice the wireless LAN as Realtek RTL8188CE Wireless LAN 802.11n COMBO PCI-E NIC

(unless you're using the Intel wifi card lar)

if still kenot, time to change your card settings

1)Right click the network icon at right hand side of taskbar, go to "open network and sharing center"

2)Go to "Change adapter settings"

3)Right click the Wireless Network Connection, select Properties

4) Press the Configure option

5)Go to advanced

6)Tweak these settings:

a)Change the beacon interval accordingly (like me, my wifi router is a bit far, so i increase the interval lor)

b)Change the TX power level to 100%

You should get a better connection then/
