I just bought one onkyo ht-s5300b at harvey norman warehouse clearance in shah alam warehouse today but it's rm2799 not rm1999. Damn i feel like being cheated cuz they said that was the lowest price ever =(

well, you should have survey 1st what's the lowest price the members here get before your purchase..

that was for the HT-S3300..not HT-S5300..

the price tag for HT-S5300 they put there was RM2999(slash from their ori price RM3799)..
then you nego a bit, they'll give you RM2799 final price..

is it possible the sales person quote wrong price Onkyo HT-S3300 RM1999 on Onkyo HT-S5300 ? lolz. look like only one of our forumers here bought it

I heard HN warehouse sell at RM3399? Now at RM2799. Very good price already. This set really good for entry level for home theater setup. When the time I bought at RM1999, maybe only 5 sets are under this promotion.

just back from ikea today. going to Ikano asking the price for 5300, the old man (promoter) quite lanci abit. turn to me say RM3399 and turn back to use his laptop. thinking to get best bargain today to buy wan actually.

2799 i think better get last year model receiver / network capable receiver, cheapest now for 1.8k then 1k can get decent bookshelf / find cheap 5.1 set

err..HT-S5300 is last year(2010) model..this year they got HT-S5400..

simply put it like this..break down of the RM2799..
HT-S5300 is using AVR same as the SR 508(last year avr model), which the cheapest priced is RM1400..
so, the speaker set 7.1 is priced RM1399..

when Harvey Norman have fair again?

just got my HT-S5300 last week at HN Klang Bkt Tinggi for 2588. Last three unit. New unit wrapped. Last I saw still got one available. Tested on 1080 movies and concert. Sound is good and solid. Totally love it.

wow...how long it takes you to test using 1080 movies??
