City 3 - 0 Stoke

Nothing wrong with the scoreline there at all! We were fantastic throughout the whole game. And it's really assuring to see our captain came straight back into the team and started scoring again. I've missed scoreline like this! It's been a long time since we last won by such a margin, I guess we can expect more of the same now with Tevez back in. It's just so much different to see him spearhead our attack, we always looked like scoring. Anyway, glad to see Milner played well too.

Let's rally on and clinch that 3rd spot on the final game!

P/S: Tevez' freekick was sweeeeeet! drool.gif

Yes Tevez freekick was the best I have seen so far this season (short & sweeeeeeeeeet biggrin.gif on the short side) with AJ as decoy.

Yup City is sussed on Stoke's set-up pieces (45% of their goals are comprised of that). City has size & finesse power, especially with Micah back in the lineup & Mario to help the defense, to counter Stoke's.

How we perform @ Reebok stadium will define our coming CL season.

Mind you Daniel Sturridge, our former Academy Product, is one striker we should be wary of. 8 goals in 11 appearances on the trot for the Trotters.
Unbelievable that we let him go to Chelsea. We can rightly blame Hughes (his inability to 'soft manage' players) et al, if irony of ironies, he score against us.

At least Chelsea has the sense to loan him out.

Who do you think should be Etihad Player of the year?

IMO, I think Kompany deserves it the most. He's been so consistent this season and a rock solid at the back. Be it with Kolo or Lescott, he's rarely put a foot wrong for us. And not to forget the time when he carried us through without Tevez. Anyone would be absolutely mental not to choose him as our Player of the Year. Honourable mention to the likes of Silva, de Jong, Zaba and Yaya too for being brilliant as well, and of course our Captain Fantastic himself.. Carlos Tevez. Truth is, they are all vital to us and we couldn't have enjoyed such a wonderful season without all of the players. I'm really proud with whatever we've achieved so far and no doubt I'm looking forward to more success in the coming future.

Let's hope we end this season on high with a 3 points at the Reebok!

Yes VK or YaYa (because of his scoring @ Wembley and escaping from the clutches of Vidic). Joint Player?
Special mention to Super Mario for being a saint in the midst of agitatation surrounded by a
sorry lot of red devils who IMO can't take defeat graciously for the victors to celebrate by leaving the pitch.

I'm rooting for Tevez for the top PL goalscorer title.
It looks likely he'll be gone. IMO To RM, thats why Ade is not RM or Mourihno's target anymore.

even i'm surprised by daniel's fairly rapid rise to prominence, and he's slowly proving to be a diamond in the rough for us. some fans were worried about his slightly cocky attitude but i think as a striker sometimes u need a bit of that. the lad has confidence in spades when it comes to his own ability and that's aided him to hit the ground running with bolton, even when he was rarely used in chelsea's first team. next season we'll see if he can make a claim for our best signing in years. smile.gif

about tevez leaving i don't think its necessarily such a bad thing for u guys, as he'll be sold for top, top dollar because of his consistent form and resistance towards injury. clubs can forget about ripping u off, and it can help to bring out the best in edin dzeko who's been largely cast under the shadow of the argentinian. sometimes that can liberate a player as we all know dzeko was the man for wolfsburg, and since he's more 'senior' than balotelli, i think he'd be eager to be city's main marksman for the new season.

For the next while we will be innundated with rumours of buying & selling of players. To start with, lets see what the media has to say lately

QUOTE
There's no sign of last week's ludicrous Ronaldo rumour, but there are other big names being linked with us - the People say we have already launched a bid for Cesc Fabregas with Luka Modric mentioned if that fails. The same article says that Roberto Mancini also wants Wesley Snijder and Ashley Young. Kudos to the sub-editor for the headline of "Smash and Grabu Dhabi" - do you see what they did there?

The Daily Star Sunday says we are after Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero, and the same paper's Scottish edition has Rangers player Greg Wylde praising our on-loan winger Vladimir Weiss for his contribution to their successful title tilt.

The Mail sums the season up in numbers and tells us something we already knew - that Joe Hart is England's number one, with a shot-saving percentage of 76%

http://mcfc.co.uk/News/What-the-papers-say...-frame-for-City

Wesley might be @ SB if MVB is the next manager?
Our targets might be contingent on Tevez status.
Will he be present @ today's parade?

Added on May 24, 2011, 1:58 amMancini wants to have City targets realize within 40 days (mcfc.co.uk).
He wants Alexis Sanchez.

Aguero released a statement on Monday night that revealed he had asked the club to consider offers. "I said long ago that when I wanted to go, I would say publicly. And the time has come," it read.

"So I keep my word and here I am. I find it hard to leave Atletico. It hurts and saddens me," Aguero said on his official website. "I've thought long and hard and I am convinced that I must be true to myself.''

Aguero is great sign but i hope he can adapt BPL style.

if failed city can make a HUGE bid to sanchez! he could be winger and striker. versatile player

same case like Silva at his earlier debut he quite hard to adapt to bpl... but at last he found his touch.

I have seen Kun played, upclose & live, eversince his U20 WC performance where he was the man among the boys (voted Golden Boot Golden Ball). Oh yeah even Pato there was a boy compared to him

He exceeded my expectations with his subsequent la liga club performance simply eclipsing that of former AM player Torres. He is like Tevez but he has also an uncanny ability to produce goals thats a delight to watch. If he comes to PL, I won't be surprised that he match or exceed Tevez or even Torres strike rates.

Yes thats what they said about Silva.

For ~45m euros City can't go wrong.

Kolo banned for 6 months (retroactive from March 2) for this first time offender.
He is also under 'Parole' for 2 years effective May 26.

The Panel "took into consideration the circumstances behind his use of water tablets belonging to his wife with Wenger as a "character witness in the media. He is a boy that has a clean life, a very honest living. I just think it is a mistake "

He was tested postively at the Manchester Derby in February, when he was an unused substitute.
Yaya lamented his brother 's absences on the Wembley pitch for City subsequently. Kudos to Yaya for obiliterating City's 35 year dry spell with his winning goals.

Is the accord signed between Atletico Madrid & City?
All I want for Christmas (early gift) is Aguero.
To mitigate or meet the forthcoming FFP we need to broaden our fan base. Not Korean engine ( ala Park) but Japan Honda. In the works according to ESPN. Accord model?

Will we sign Honda?
The Best Asian Player!
He has pace, power and lethal strikes & he is young too.
His performance will leave others 'in parked poistion' in his wake as he zoomed by. nod.gif nod.gif nod.gif wink.gif

Added on June 18, 2011, 1:32 amWhy they call Mario .... Super Mario

QUOTE
Away from the glare of the tabloid mischief-makers in the UK and Italy, Mario has a caring and compassionate side that few get to see, mostly because he shuns publicity from his visits to orphanages and children's homes. In fact, we had to prise these images away from a close family member to illustrate that the 20-year-old has more than just football on his mind.

Compared to most of the other footballers Super Mario is a Saint if only I can put a halo on this pic

Why post the above publicity? Because of all the inordinate negative publicity spin contrived by the mischief makers in this forum too. nod.gif

Diametrically opposite to what is true & genuine of this lad growing up in a milieu hostile to aliens and now plying his football skills against all odds. Hence my small contribution in lauding him.

No one can say that he is a paragon of virtue (thank goodness he is not married)

QUOTE
Mario admitted he'd never had such a grilling at the Q&A! Questions ranged from 'Why do you keep changing your girlfriend?' to whether he liked Manchester and English football - he likes both by the way - and what was the meaning of his existence from a young lad called Yuri! In fact, Mario admitted he'd had a fantastic day and plans to keep close ties with Casa del Sole in the future.

As he left, he was presented with some gifts and plants the children had grown in the greenhouse and was told by one of the staff, "You did all this. You made them so happy, Mario."

Yes he made me biggrin.gif because of his performance (MOTM) @ Wembley. He was a decorum of perfection. A GOOD LAD.

Yes about time Balo gets some recognition. Most kids and City fans love him for his youthful enthusiasm & zest.

On Sunday, 22-year-old Northern Irish golfer Rory McIlroy won his first major when he finished the U.S. Open with an eight stroke lead. On Monday, Manchester United's official website republished an interview with McIlroy from March that details his love for the club. And how his dad (pictured above) is a Man City fan.
Funnily enough, McIlory just so happened to be wearing City colors when he won. And though his clothing is dictated by his sponsor, it's still somewhat surprising that a "diehard United fan" would compete in City colors. Then again, it was Father's Day.

If you want to post here at least behave and have some decorum instead of f here f there in your posts. Its understandable your lack of education but still doesn't excuse you not having some manners. I have lots of friends with primary school education but they have class.
Your posts here & elsewhere shows that you are vulgar, crude & uncouth & ill informed on a lot of football matters. Thats why you resort to f comments? IMO you are not fit to be a footie fan let alone wear an MU shirt.
No wonder they call fans like you a sarnie giving MU fans a bad rap.

Can you behave like some of the other MU fans? No wonder the 'seniors' doesn't want to post in your thread with mustards like you spouting inane comments.

Finally made our first signing!

To be completely honest, I'm kinda disappointed with this Clichy signing. I really don't rate him. From what I've seen of him last season, he's really shaky at the back and in terms of offensive capability, I doubt he's any better than Kolarov. Mind you, Kolarov offers more in set-pieces as well. No idea why Mancini signed him, though he may only be a replacement for Bridge and hopefully only a back-up left back. I seriously cannot put my mind to rest if he was to start there every game. It's scary. Hope I'm proven wrong though.. Our defensive staffs might just be able to get the best out of him, who knows. =)

I'll just remain optimistic. Who do you guys think will be our next signing after this? Personally, I hope we can get a back-up for Yaya Toure. He's too important for us and for him to play every single game would be tiring especially when we still have to compete in Champions League next season.

That aside, my ideal signing would be Hamsik. *fingers cross*

Savic was a member of the Montenegro side that frustrated England in a 0-0 draw at Wembley in October 2010 in a Euro 2012 qualifier.
He also faced English opposition when turning out for Partizan against Arsenal in the Champions League in December.
In February 2010, Savic, who was then playing for Serbian side BSK Borca, was reported as saying he expected to sign a pre-contract agreement with the Gunners following his trial.

Tevez is a key player since he is not only one of the best strikers in bpl but as captain as well. But with your 4-3-3 and abundance of attackers and strikers as well(Dzeko, baloletti and if aguero is coming) you can tweak your tactics according to mancini.\

You know what players like silva, toure are capable of doing.

Nah, it is similar to Arsenal case and Barcelona's Qatar Foundation on their jersey. Only time will tell whether a particular club will lose their identity or not. Nobody know what the future hold.

That is what I've mentioned, City are losing their identity, not trolling.

I remember MUFC once had a proposal to change OT's name to Nike Arena. Fans raged and they dropped the idea. I think City should reject the proposal because since City is the 'pure' Manchester Club, they should at least keep the City of Manchester name. It's like Wembley changing to Virgin stadium. The English root is gone.

Since when does ETIHAD means it 'belongs' to united (or synomous with Leeds United etc.) club? Does Tiger Airways means Tiger Woods?
Is it patented?
Bodoh & Arrogant to assume a generic term is 'applicable'!
Surely fans can differentiate between ETIHAD stadium (there will be only one specifically named ETIHAD in the world & supposedly acclaimed in the best league) and that of a low profile stadium downunder.

Added on July 9, 2011, 11:57 pmYes I know the Docklands stadium has been renamed ETIHAD stadium and it will probably be known to locals or domestic only.
The ETIHAD stadium in Manchester will be worldwide acclaimed to give the Airways (flag carrier of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) much more exposure!
Etihad translated literally means "unison, union or alliance"

Let me enlighten you.

Controversy dogged the renaming rights between the Docklands Owners and the AFL (Australian Football League) because of the lucrative sponsorship deal between the AFL and QANTAS. Etihad Airways have the renaming rights of the Docklands stadium which is expected to expire Feb' 2014.
With the 10 year lease now at Manchester City Stadium, Etihad has the naming rights and will not have controversy from BPL (meeting the fit & proper person or entity test) or others dogging it. Are you suggesting that BPL is a lower profile league than the AFL? Bodoh.

Manchester City and its fans are happy with the MCFC owner. The owner have pumped equity not only into the FC but also to the City's surroundings. Converting the equity into shares without the FC going into onerous debts or gouging the fans outright. Polls show that MCFC fans are the most satisfied among the BPL. City fans do not want the owner out!

We will gladingly oblige with more homer pics since you asked politely. You are too kind by suggesting that you are PLAYING ALONG. You mean your euphemism for PLAYACTING.

just to comment on the stadium naming :

this is so that the owner can inject money to man city through stadium sponsorship, and not by directly injecting money to the club, due to the new financial fair play rules. it is now becoming a new trend that a club offer their stadium to be named after their sponsor, for a period of times, for example for 10 years sponsorship.

so, nothing to do with losing identity whatsoever, just like arsenal have their stadium named after their sponsor : emirates

Hello City Fan here, I think (re)naming the great City of Manchester Stadium is a way for city to comply with the financial fair play rule.

Let's face it if they didn't do it (or even had the thought of it) they would be struggling with our losses. I'm no expert on the margin of loss or profit but I do know that City's move on painting one of etihad's plane (Blue Moon Rising) and the naming rights contract is a move to solve our problems.

Nasri isn't with City. I do think that Aguero will be coming following after Tevez's leave to Real Madrid.

I think Real Madrid is going to take on City's offer on droppping Aguero on their list and putting Tevez and Adebayor on it.

Corothians can pay 36million/40million why can't Real Madrid do the same.

Looking forward witht the Community Shield.

True. MCFC will meet FFPR & has been proactive with EUFA regarding this issue.

Cogitate on this. How much did Etihad paid for the naming rights for the Docklands stadium?
Manchester City Football Club and Etihad Airways regarding their comprehensive partnership agreement & expanding commercial relationship.

Pyroboy failed to comprehend that when he accused me of 'to call people in Australia as low profile' wrongly. Which part of my post states that?
Is that the reason pyroboy post knee-jerk comments here without much forethought? shakehead.gif

Me too. I don't think Rio (a known missing drug test violator & 'spousal cheat) is looking forward to it with his recent announcement about all-star game
Folks who suggested or excused Rio for missing his drug test ( the most eggregious of all drug violitions) ought to have their heads examined.

How did we 'let go' of this Ecuadorian beggars my mind.
Hughes brought in RSC, Ade, Tevez and Big Phil was loaned out to various clubs. Ending up last season at la liga helping Levante Club avoid relegation.
Will he end up in Russia?

Regarding CityBlueprint being implemented biggrin.gif

QUOTE
Manchester City were today unveiling plans for a world-beating training complex and ‘mini stadium’ on land opposite their Etihad Stadium.

The centre has been planned for two years and is understood to be unprecedented in scale.

The facilities, to be built on land owned by the football club in Openshaw West, will include 16 pitches for first team and academy players and a 7,000-capacity youth team stadium which will also be opened up for community use, we have learned.

It will massively boost City’s ability to nurture local talent with significant focus on developing young, home-grown players who can go on to become first team stars.

Plans are also believed to include accommodation and classrooms to house and educate academy and elite players, from ages eight to 18, as well as dedicated pitches, accommodation, a gym and injury rehab centre for City’s first team who will train on the same site.

Part of the cutting-edge campus will also be open to the public. It will sit at the heart of an area being transformed into a ‘world capital of sport’ by a partnership between the Blues, Manchester council and New East Manchester.

The club is also expected to confirm the donation of five-and-a-half acres of land on the site to the east Manchester community and the creation of a ‘significant’ number of jobs for local workers.

The launch of a public consultation on the plans today puts flesh on the bones of the expansion that the Blues hinted at when they signed their record-breaking sponsorship deal with Etihad 10 days ago.

The agreement, worth several hundred million pounds, saw their Eastlands ground renamed the Etihad Stadium and the surrounding SportCity area – including the 80 acres set to house the new training facilities – dubbed the Etihad campus.

Blues officials are understood to have visited 30 elite sports venues across the world to create a blueprint for their new complex, which is expected to rival or better AC Milan’s Milanello, widely considered to be the best in the world.

It would also meet Premier League top standards for club academies.

The club, which has outgrown its current facilities, is presently based across three sites – the Etihad Stadium, Carrington and Platt Lane – but the new plans will centralise that.

Blues bosses have already been given permission to clean up the 80 acres of contaminated former industrial land where they are hoping to win approval for the training ground.

A framework for the area published earlier this year showed plans for a possible footbridge linking the site to the stadium.

City have forked out millions on high price tag players since their Abu Dhabi owners took over in 2008.

The club is hoping to use more sustainable investment in home-grown talent to secure long-term success.

The Blues academy has already produced 30 players who have made first team debuts since its inception in 1998.

These plans will allow expansion of both that and their City in the Community programme.

Several exhibition open days will be held by the club from Wednesday and the club has sent leaflets to hundreds of local residents outlining the plans.

This is what one of the locals have to say
QUOTE
Oh this is just getting embarrassing now. When will our owners stop pumping resourses into the local community, creating jobs and generally doing a great job. Why cant they plunge us into debt and squeeze every last penny out of our fans like normal clubs do. I for one would endorse a scheme where fans are held to ransom so they are forced to hand over credit card details for cup games they cant, or dont want to go to so we can proudly say we fill our ground for every game. We dont even own our stadium, oh the shame

*
Why would MC football club lose its identity? Its just naming rights for obvious reason for crying out loud. Suppose City sold the naming rights to Nike. Would MCFC be losing its identity?

I suggest you should delve more deeply into the real reason why local MU fans raged against the idea. Cogitate on that. If you don't have a clue then ponder over why they are against the Glazers ownership which unfortunately you fans are powerless to get rid off.

On a separate note, what may have gone unnoticed is that City have gazumped clubs like RM, Barca by snaring young superkid players like Denis Suarez. Stay tune.

This does rather beg the question of how the sponsor benefits from such a deal: what’s in a name? The obvious answer is brand awareness with a raised profile, which is particularly well served if it is a new stadium. This point was seized upon by Ian Ayre, Liverpool’s managing director, who noted, “It hasn’t happened in Europe that a football club has renamed an existing stadium and it’s had real value.” This is correct, but it’s doubtful whether too many fans are attached to the name Eastlands (or even the City of Manchester Stadium). It would be a different story if this had been Maine Road. This is why it would be difficult to sell naming rights for grounds like Anfield or Old Trafford, as whatever name anybody tried to call the stadium, everyone would still use the old/real one.

http://swissramble.blogspot.com/2011/07/ma...-deal-know.html

'tis

BTW if the WC tournament were to be held today in England, Etihad Stadium will be the only Manchester stadium to comply with FIFA WC venue specs. OTOH, OT will have to dismantle 10,000 seats, info gleaned under the Freedom of Information Access request. Go figure why.

SERGIO AGUERO has told Manchester City he is on his way to the Etihad Stadium – after a glowing reference from want-away rebel Carlos Tevez.
City are close to sealing a £38million deal with Atletico Madrid for the striker who knows he will be able to command wages of £200,000 a week in Manchester.
Any doubts about moving to the Premier League club have been allayed in chats with Argentina team-mate Tevez while on duty at the Copa America.

There will be a flurry of actvities come transfer dateline to reiterate le Professeur.
'Plots and double-dealings', Cat & Mouse Game now.

Its a buyers market.
Almost every Club wants Tevez but can't afford.
Nasri & Sneidjer will be sold. Will selling clubs blink first?

If Aguero-City deal is consummated,
AM, City will be the winners
Especially yours truly will be satisfied ever since I touted for him way back in 2007.

He is just not only a lethal striker. His assists may have been less highlited but thats what I'm looking forward too with Mario-Dzeko-Aguero-Silva-Yaya in the upstream lineup.
Who knows Tevez (if he stays) will be the icing on the cake!

Sneidjer and or Nasri will be bonuses. The likelihood that both Manchester clubs will get one of each is very high.
We won't need Nike to finance Sneidjer. That will be financial doping wink.gif No?

I posted an animated gif (of Mario & Dzeko practicing in tandem) to foreshadow of things to come.
Not expecting that the shadow will be cast early (the next day doh.gif ).
As usual this enigmatic Black Italian got his admirers and detractors animated. rclxub.gif

Listen carefully at 0:13. Watch his body language subsequently.

Mancini said: "It....But Mario is streetwise, he knows he was not offside."

Go figure that.

Did you guys watch the whole match especially his cool penalty kick taken after Micah was brought down?

BTW Super Mario did win his first title with City ( with CL & la liga titles @ Inter) in his first Manchester season. Remember he was MOTM at both Wembley matches. Superstar at post FA semi showdown wink.gif

Oh yes he was awarded 2010 Golden Boy Winner (joining the ranks of past winners Aguero, Messi, Fabergas et al).

Why are some (especially MUST fans) of you so obssessed with City especially with Super Mario? shakehead.gif

I will give you (Mario's detractors) the benefit of doubt this time considering you didn't give Mario. doh.gif

Oh .. regarding the GIF, that was in training mr wise one.

You don't do that in matches because you will be deemed taking lightly of the opponent, hence no respect. which would lead to punishment.

Even Fergie watch teams like Barca or City play.
To make informed decisions, comments or trot out opinions (especially about City) you need to.
Unless you want to be a sheep.

I have the 'resources' to watch a lot of football games even MU matches. For it allows me to form my opinions. Thats what should be encouraged.
Instead of having 'facts' foisted on you by posters like Boxysystem who want to 'flatter to deceive' or 'deceive to batter' sheep.  nod.gif
Don't let the big FOOLs fool you.

This post is an advice to MUST fans who wants to post in City's thread. Likewise for me if I want to comment on MU.  This post is a quid pro quo for the many posts in City's thread by MUST supporters.

Will this one post be deleted? We will see.

If you watch the match you will see the  cool penalty taken by him.
If you didn't watch the match? I rest my case.
Super Mario did win his first title with City ( with CL & la liga titles @ Inter) in his first Manchester season. Remember he was MOTM at both Wembley matches. Superstar at post FA semi showdown. A letdown by sore losers MU players like Rio, Anderson, Nani et al.

Oh yes he was awarded 2010 Golden Boy Winner (joining the ranks of past winners Aguero, Messi, Fabergas et al). An award voted for by European journalists to honour the most talented player under the age of 21.

In contrast let me ask you did Paul Scholes (IMO flattered by the likes of you to deceive) win any individual European honours?
We can safely say that he will never.
*
Dude, you're making a fool of yourself with that statement (not that you already aren't). Cool penalty or whatnot, he can even dribble pass the entire stadium and score for all I care, what he did was totally disrespectful EXCEPT for you it seems. You're even more deluded that the American Idol contestants.

And please, it was a freaking friendly, do we need to watch the entire game just to see how brilliant he is. Rooney scored a hat trick against Seattle Sounders? Did you watch the game? I rest my case. (and Mario's game was only for 30 minutes pffft). Superstar at post FA semi final? MOTM? WHO THE FCUK gives a fcuk on these awards? Last I check, football is a squad game. Golden Boy? Again, making yourself dumber.

Don't try and drag Scholes to this argument. He doesn't need "individual" awards to be flattered, just like the many other footballer greats.

Can't believe your counter-arguments are individual awards laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Seems like I'm talking to a 7 year old kid who just found out about football

Mario is caught between a rock and a hard place
A hostile home crowd in LA who jeered, pilloried (like a WWE heel) and booed him from the get go with the jingoistic sportscasters who only knows soccer through the prism of North American Sports and a Manager who is right in demanding that his players not to relax (shoot to score) even though its a Herbal World Life Challenge Tournament Match!

Now this is what Balotelli has to say

Aguero to man city for 38m?

no one cares about the price, especially when you can afford it. However, it would be a sad story, if he becomes the next robhino, ade, or few other surplus to requirement players during the next transfer window.

Mancini was really upset with Balo for not scoring. He fielded the best players available. IMO Mario thought he was offside and so does a lot of football cognoscenti (including Beckham) affirming it. Only real idiots like the local disgraceful ESPN sportscasters (including mustard here like Pyroboy) think otherwise.
Mancini was satisified with the 'punishment' & say it is closed.
Mancini is a WINNER. No 'play play ' even tho' its a HL World Tournament game. Thats why he was a top lethal striker.

On the other hand perhaps manager like Fergie might have done the subbed in the 2nd half after throwing a boot at his protege. Now which would be more disrespectful? laugh.gif

At the end of the day almost everybody is a winner

Like the saying goes 'Any Publicity is better than no Publicity"
It just happened that Mario is the equivalent of the 'WWE heel'. Most sports, especially in North America, are kayfabe.

Likewise our resident heel who is being pawned again

Like I said, you and your dupes are Mario's greatest fanboys. Absolutely NOTHING can change your fanboyism towards him. Whether you're pretentious or not I don't care. With his attitude, I can't wait to see more baby and childish antics from him. And when that time comes, I can't wait for your response. You're becoming more creative I MUST say.

Creativity? kekeke

You mean when A11 segued from citing Mancini's punishment to that of Fergie booting his protege?
Or is it quoting Beckham, the ex-perienced wink.gif MU footballer, becking Super Mario ?
Or is it pawning pyroboy again & for sending his macai thence?

You give ah nene too much credit. HCNMIU
Its called 'kaitan' .... euphemism for 'korelasi'.

So a kind advice from uncle to all footies in this FL, especially if you don't want to be a sheep,
Don't be a kaki bangku or kaki kayu. Play football (do it) and watch as much football as you can not just your club only.
Don't let the big Fools fool you or RETARD your knowledge to become a football cognoscenti. You don't want to be a sheep or a mushroom. Do you?
So Cogitate, Correlate and then Communicate.

How? You MUST watch as many as you can even if you don't support the other teams.
Me? As a manchester fan I support MU over Barca. . Shocking isn't it?
Was disappointed. Hope 3rd time MU will be lucky.

<......................................................................................................>
I'm the devil's advocate that haunts their nights and dogs their days.
<......................................................................................................>

Now I'm glad that we can officially Welcome to Manchester Agüero .
Kudos to Khaldoon to realize 'my transfer target'. After 4 years of touting and waiting for him.
Its not only his proclivity to score with his quickness in the box but that he will surprised you from unlikely places or angles on both flanks. His assists has not gone unnoticed. Thats a marked contrast with that of Tevez.

IMO he would have score ( yes he is capable & talented enough) with his back heel if  he really meant it knowing for certain without a shadow of doubt that the whistle hasn't gone off for offside.

To all  anti-City fans  and Balotelli haters they will then deem it as DISRESPECTFUL!
Most lethal strikers do not relax or miss their targets ( viz van Pursey red carded @ Camp Nou) when they strike unless in this instance they thought they heard the whistle being blown (to mitigate subsequent cautions for delaying game etc.). Think about it
found something similiar ... laugh.gif

QUOTE
have watched it back a few times and from his mannerisms I believe he thought he was offside,' said the former England skipper. 'Mario has been a great player for quite a few years and he is still very young. He will continue to get better I am sure.

'But it doesn’t matter whether you think it was offside or not. There are a lot of young kids watching these teams and great players who come out here. You have to be professional and score the goal.'

you lose focus when your loyalty is low. you dont play to your very best because glory isnt of the utmost priority. man utd players are different. that is why you always see them winning in stoppage time.

teams like man city have players who already give up (thus not giving 120% effort) when the clock reaches 90 minutes.

you lost to man utd last season in the dying minutes of the game too.. millions cant buy loyalty. hehehe

city fans are the biggest glory hunters ever. Bet most of you can't name players from the 90's without having to google their names.

unfair to say like that. They're not one of successful club back then hence the little exposure. In fact, they're not even on EPL for several seasons.

different people got different opinions on glory hunter

imo, it's okay for new football fans to support city now since their club is mega-rich. but as long as they don't simply jump ship in the near future, it's okay. doesn't mean that they have to know the players from the past.

btw, what glory?

Well give man city a break. They have a strong team and epl have yet to start. We don't know what they are capable of doing in the BPL. It's just fans like CBP ruining the clubs reputations.

I normally only post things regarding City in this thread and avoid getting into argument as much as I can. But this post here is ridiculous. Wayyy to be judgmental. Saying City fans are the biggest glory hunters ever? What glory? We've only won the FA Cup on recent record. And I've been supporting City since early 2000's, considering I'm only born in 1990.. That ain't too much of a glory hunting, yes? And I do know about some players from the 90's, admittedly not much because to be fair, I was only 6 or 7 back then. Please, if you're gonna come in here and say stupid things like that without any proper intention other than just trolling, I suggest you stay far away from this thread. I don't mind the occasional banters and debates with other fans because that's what make things fun.

City's result in the early 2000's:
1999–00 Div 1 46 26 11 9 78 40 89 2nd
2000–01 Prem 38 8 10 20 41 65 34 18th
2001–02 Div 1 46 31 6 9 108 52 99 1st

for a 10 year-old Canada Malaysia kid, believe it or not he started supporting City at that age, with that kind of result and with that kind of coverage of BPL at that time from our local media

Dude, Leeds have always been a team I follow. Always. And I'll never deny it even until today. Back then during the Smith, Kewell and Viduka era. Well not even me, almost most of my friends who are fans of Liverpool or Chelsea have a soft spot for Leeds and want them to do well. Fair enough I said I was a Leeds fan and I still is at some degree but not as much as my love for City. Hell, I'd love for them to get back into the BPL. But that doesn't mean I'm not a City fan nor does it void my statement in my previous post. I'm a City fan since early 2000's and I still stand by that. I still remember vividly the likes of Huckerby, Bernarbia, Berkovic, SWP when I started watching City game. smile.gif

I'm pretty certain there were coverage for City's game when they were in the Prem in 2000/01 cause that's when I started watching City. And I don't see why a 11 year old Malaysia kid does not have the right to start supporting a team, at all.

Super debut by Kun! Absolutely stunned by his performance yesterday. Played for less than 30 mins and he's already scored twice and got an assist to his name. Brilliant.

Dzeko and Silva were fantastic as well, especially Dzeko who looked really comfortable with the ball now than he was last season. Silva was his usual self, no real surprise there. He has been absolute class. Let's hope we keep this on until the end of season. LOL. I WISH!

Come on CITY!

If Tevez stays and forms a partnership with Aguero then Man City will have a huge chance at title contention

since the Aguero arrival, i think Man City should change formation to 4-3-3 instead of 4-2-3-1. drop out 1 of 2 dm whether De Jong or Barry.

make a new triforce Tevez-Dzeko-Aguero.

Kevin davies' goal was a bit soft one to concede. Not sure how Lescott lose it to Davies in the air. Hart was slow to respond too. Anyway, overall great match. Fairly entertaining for neutral fans like us smile.gif

Totally agree with your Zero. I don't get how we totally dominated the game and yet we were like holding on in the last quarter of the game. The 2nd Bolton goal was really soft to concede. Lescott has been playing well but at times, he's really shaky. In fact, before the end of last season.. I've always thought he wasn't good enough to start for us but then he proved me wrong with a string of good performances. I really hope he'll carry it to this season. Definitely not as steady as Vinnie. But he was mainly at fault for the 2nd goal. Well, as long as we get the 3 points, I guess I have nothing to complain about. Dzeko and Silva were fantastic again, and Milner too. Aguero played pretty good in the first half, though he should have scored when Dzeko play ed it in for him. All and all, not a bad performance from City.

Don't get the Hargreaves signing at all. I mean fair enough we're a rich club but I don't see the need to pay silly money to someone who's gonna spend more time in the hospital rather than the pitch. But I do suspect Mancini is bringing him in for Yaya Toure's absence when the African Cup of Nations comes and at the same time providing back-up if any of de Jong or Barry was sidelined. In short, I think he's the direct replacement of Vieira. Hmmm...

Cook accused of offensive email

Manchester City chief executive Garry Cook has been accused of sending an offensive email to the mother and agent of defender Nedum Onuoha.

Dr Anthonia Onuoha emailed City's football administrator, Brian Marwood, last October stating that, despite being "ravaged with cancer", she would continue to hold talks regarding a dispute over her son's contract.

A fortnight later, Dr Anthonia Onuoha alleges she received an email, seemingly from Cook addressed to Marwood, that said: "Ravaged with it!!......I don't now how you sleep at night. You used to be such a nice man when I worked with you at nike (sic)."

Dr Anthonia Onuoha replied the following day, writing: "Thanks very much for your insightful e-mail." Cook has since denied sending the email, citing that his account had been hacked while he was on holiday in South Africa.

Cook, who apologised for "any hurt or embarrassment this may have caused", told Dr Anthonia: "I cannot and will not condone this unacceptable behaviour. I can confirm Brian did not receive this e-mail and disciplinary action is currently underway regarding one of our employees."

Dr Anthonia Onuoha, though, has told the Sun: "When Cook replied to me, he said that he was confused, that he'd been away on holiday in South Africa and that somebody had hacked into his email account and whoever sent the email to Brian Marwood meant it as a practical joke. It was all very stressful at the time, in fact it still is.

"The illness I have is very stressful, I'm having chemotherapy and radiotherapy, including having radiotherapy on my brain and this year has been traumatic. I didn't want anybody adding to my stress but that is what they've done.

"The feeling of humiliation still persists. Now I just want the FA and the Premier League to see what's happened and to take the appropriate action. Treating people like this is completely abominable."

Onuoha, 24, has made 72 league starts for City and spent last season on loan at Sunderland. He signed a new five-year contract at Eastlands in 2009.

Cook quits Man City

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/...resigns?cc=4716

QUOTE
Garry Cook has resigned as chief executive of Manchester City over claims he sent an offensive email to the mother and agent of defender Nedum Onuoha.
It was reported that Cook initially claimed his email had been hacked into but has now admitted to an "error of judgement''.

Dr Anthonia Onuoha emailed City's football administrator, Brian Marwood, last October stating that, despite being "ravaged with cancer", she would continue to hold talks regarding a dispute over her son's contract.

A fortnight later, Dr Onuoha alleged she received an email, seemingly from Cook addressed to Marwood, that said: "Ravaged with it!!......I don't know how you sleep at night. You used to be such a nice man when I worked with you at nike (sic)."

Dr Onuoha replied the following day, writing: "Thanks very much for your insightful e-mail." Cook has since denied sending the email, citing that his account had been hacked while he was on holiday in South Africa.

However, an investigation by City, initiated on Monday, concluded that the allegations against Cook did have substance and the chief executive tendered his resignation on Friday.

City said in a statement: "The Club can confirm that there is foundation to Dr Onuoha's allegations and the Chairman has written to apologise to Dr Onuoha for any distress caused.

Following the findings of the review, Chief Executive Officer Garry Cook has offered his resignation, which has been accepted with regret by the Board."

Fulham 2 - 2 City

This draw feels like a defeat no matter how I look at it. What can I say... Typical City. We were playing so well in the first half and how on earth did we just throw away a 2 goals lead, it's beyond me. The defense were below par today. Kompany was so unlike him today, Yaya too. And have anyone notice how many passes we made in front of Fulham's goal today? For a second, I thought they forgot how to shoot. It has been the same problem for a few games already including the Napoli's game, where we would just pass around trying to be fancy and all, but with no product at all. Sometimes, I really wish Tevez would start in those games because in situation like that, he would've gone for goal himself. His selfishness might just do us good sometimes. Imagine, all the chances and no proper finishing all these while. We gotta start killing the game early on when all the chances come knocking.

Why do we always shut down completely when we were leading? It's like they suddenly stop playing and give Fulham so much freedom to attack. And when the opposition finally equalized, they would launch an absolute panic attack. It's always the same old thing.

Gareth Barry... I guess I've really loss hope on him. His performance against Napoli made me feel like knocking my head against the wall. So freaking slow, which to be fair is obviously a well-known issue to everyone but every single time he went forward for a bit, my heart was pounding fast coz once he loses possession there, he's never gonna catch up with opposition's counter attack, ever. Slow as nail and then he leaves a big gap in the center of our midfield. I just hope de Jong and Milner recover from their injuries asap. Our current team miss de Jong. The overly attacking threats we have need some kinda balance and de Jong is the man for the job.

Sorry for the big big rant. Maybe I'm overreacting but these 2 draws were really frustrating because we could have easily won the game if we finished better and kill off the game early on. Hope we'll take some lesson from these 2 games and get better.

Very disappointed with our performance last night. Defence were horrid. Having our first shot of the game on the 83rd minute sums it all up really. Hope we'll be able to win the remaining matches and scrap through the group stage.

About the Tevez situation, what can I say? Tevez was just being typical him. 5 years in England and he never tried learning English, then he went on being homesick and all. Fine, we put up with all those craps. Handed in transfer request twice and we still put up with it. Even made him captain to make him happy. Now Aguero arrives, all of the sudden the spotlight isn't on him anymore and there we go again, putting up with another of his hissy fit throwing. I'm starting to get tired of it. I'm all with Mancini on this one. Let's hope everything will be sorted out asap.

Come on CITY!

In tevez latest situation, it is confirmed by club that has been suspended until further notice for a maximum period of two weeks...there's still hav time to clear up this situation..agreed with drickson, football is not one man show game, hav to admit that..for whatever happen tevez already nailed his name in club's history for both good and bad reason...

Totally outplayed Blackburn. So happy to see AJ back in the team and scoring an absolute beauty too. Savic and Nasri getting their first goal for the club and Mario getting in the scoresheet again! I'm loving Milner playing in the center of our midfield instead of Barry. Hell, anything is better than Barry. LOL.

How close was that guys?! Can't describe my feelings right now. What a finale! Just when I thought we're gonna bottle it, Aguero popped up with a goal and there we are still in to fight for the knock-out round. Gotta calm myself to sleep now.

Tho I'm not man City fan, I've been watching several Man City games and I admit I do enjoy the way Man City is playing. I have trouble tho with Yaya Toure being deployed as 2nd striker. He has the skills, but after 1 hour, he plays so slowly..

Hope to see Aguero and Balotelli play upfront this weekend

Hmm, even the hate has infested this thread.

Top of the table clash, you all need to prepare for even more hate/bitterness if either side wins.

Win you get trolled, lose you get trolled. Too many trolls, it's almost feeding season on a daily basis.

To both teams, good luck and may it be a great game of football for all to enjoy. biggrin.gif

Think u shud ask urself why u got such reply... U being a City fan is never an issue... but what did u said after that?

"Newly Man City supporters.. and anti MU fans. "

I am a MU fan.. Never had issue with City fans.. But u came in out of nowhere and said that, of course I feel offended cos I am a Man Utd fan and I never had any problems with u till u said that... So, I replied in a way that u deserved... and u talk crap and u said this too:

"THIS IS WHY I HAT MAN U FANS... most of them are not frendly n never have the soul of the beautiful football in their heart.i'm here only wanna to have frends and need help from others to find a jersey.. if u (verbatim) just came here to give some of your shitty opinion, u can GTH.. k!!"

U came in here with that mentality, and u said u anti and hate Man Utd fans.. and u said u wana have frens...is that how u find frens?? by making such statements.. u r already contradicting urself.. so I think u shud FO.. not anyone else. The thing is if u dont make shitty comments by targetting some people, u wont get such reception.

U get that clear first!

U champion freedom of speech but say we cant reply to what he posted??? R u confused or what?? Btw, u defending that bloke shows ur character anyway..it goes without saying...

WTH? FREEDOM OF SPEECH ONLY FOR HIM/HER/THEM ALONE KA??? Its also for the rest of the people ok.. If he can say something, so could I... My freedom of speech is in the constitution too... So, MR. I-MUST-REPLY-TO-EVERTYHING-AND-ANYTHING, as much as I respect ur so called freedom of speech for those attacking United fans, U HAVE TO RESPECT OUR RIGHTS TO RESPOND TO OUR HATERS... U get that clear first!

U champion freedom of speech but say we cant reply to what he posted??? R u confused or what?? Btw, u defending that bloke shows ur character anyway..it goes without saying...
*
Sorry? Pardon? Respect your right to respond? Seriously, if my neighbour comes over my house and throw insults on me, that's not some right we should respect on. In fact, I will just talk out my phone and call the police and let them do the job.Same applies here. You dont go banging and trolling in others' thread just because they dislike you.

You see if I am the only one having problem with your attitude of posting here, then dat's my problem. I probably bias. But the fact is, I aint the only one having problem with your posting here. You can scroll back and see all the postings aimed at you.Hmm.. I dunno what you trying to show here. He buys fake jersey. That's his problem. What's that got to do with you? You wanna show off to the whole world you are a true fans just because you buy a freaking genuine jersey? And on him about anti-mu, that's his own personal problem too. You butthurt? The last thing I know is there is no such rule implemented here in Football Lounge that prohibited anyone from anywhere from being an Anti-Mu football supporter. He does what he likes and you got any problem with that? That sounds funny to me.

And that MR. I-MUST-REPLY-TO-EVERTYHING-AND-ANYTHING sounds ironic because you seems to be that way yourself.

"Oh I have to act on behalf and reply for my mates to our haters"
"They talk about us... cry I will and continue troll..."
"Must reply...cos they talk about us...."

Isn't that ironic? laugh.gif

I think aguero should start up top with dzeko.I expect mancini to start barry de jong and toure so i guess only one striker will play.

Well, kinda predictable , isn't it? This thread will be quiet until at least the next game. God bless City fans. Karma does bites.

Anyway, Balotelli's celebration was remarkable. "Why Always Me?" HAHA laugh.gif

City beat them fair and square. Say this before someone comes out with Evan's red card is a bad decision by Referee.or should I say.... In before some losers say City buy the ref.

AHHHHH. What a night for City. Can't believe we literally scored 6 goals at Old Trafford. Never in my dream would I even think of that. Full credit to the team and of course our best player in the field today, DAVID SILVA! Guy's a freaking genius. And Balotelli totally beasted Evans and Evra.

Lastly.. WHY ALWAYS ME?! That was pure trolling genius from Mario. Haha. Can't believe our day. Hope I can calm myself to sleep tonight.

Good job Man City. Once in a while, these arrogant Manure bandwagoning fanboys needs to put to the ground and be reminded that they are not the best team on the planet.

This victory should at least shut those Shrek nuthuggers up for a couple of days.

Well after wishing both side a great game, it was indeed one.
Great for one while sad for the other after Evan's deserved sent off.
No excuse or conspiracy there. It was a proper sent off by Mark C.

Balotelli made his point clear to Rio as to the meaning of Who's Ur Daddy, and the rest came to the party after that.

But the main highlight for me was not the fact that Manchester United were routed 6-1. It was the way the place I was sitting down watching suddenly cleared of all the rowdy, loud and sometime obnoxious Manchester United crowd.

All this happened around the 75th minute or so. It happened the same in the stadium too. That to me is the so-called unwavering support I so often hear from fans of the Manchester United side. Which to me only proves for a second time that even at home there are no loyalties when it comes to holding up to humiliation.

I am prepared to be trolled biggrin.gif eventhough it's the truth and it was all clearly seen on video evidence of the game.

The thing is if u dont make shitty comments by targetting some people, u wont get such reception.
lol.. i just said i'm a anti MAN U fans.. its not rude i think because i say it in MAN CITY THREAD.. not like i go to MAN U THREAD and keep trolling like u bro.. i have some manners atleast.. then u came trolling here just wanna say some stupid opinion.. and i talk crap after u said it 1st bro.. u are the one who didnt know where your feet standing on... and i'm quite angry when u said that "this shows what MAN CITY fan are".. yeah!.. i'm a poor MAN CITY fans... i cannot afford to buy ORI jersey like u bro.. shyysss.. i'm ok if u came to our thread if u said nicely.. if u came here just want to "PERLI", u are the one who should FO!!

GET A LIFE BRO INSTEAD BEING OF BAD ASS TROLL HERE!! shakehead.gif

* thanks to MAN CITY fans who backup me here.. i'm just new to this thread and will become more often since jump ship to MAN CITY.. thumbup.gif

and nice game to MAN CITY.. for winning last nite game... and i dont want to trolling more here.. and i feel very proud for being MAN CITY Fans last nite rclxm9.gif
HOPEFULLY THEY COULD KEEP THIS FORM TILL END OF SEASONS AND lay their hands on this seasons LEAGUE CHAMP!!

that red card is a professional foul.. J.Evans already lose to Ballotelli and one by one with De Gea, so Evans had to make that decision before entering penalty box.. thats why referee had to give the red card since Evans is the Last Men defender.

Anyway, i'm still wondering, why Sir Ferguson putting Rooney in Midfield position?? same like in Liverpool matches.. i think maybe Rooney is still injured, cannot running around like usual striker, thats why Ferguson put him in the back..

*
Haha, agree with you bro.

It's weird when someone came in the 'home's thread' and questioned "why u anti <insert club>?" lol

I am a Chelsea fan, although I don't hate rivalries..probably I'm not too serious in this sports entertainment drama shit.

Anyway, congrats for winning the game, big. I was actually hoping if it could be a draw ,but what an outcome! i watched the entire game, and City players really played good football, whether it was against 10 or 11.

Thanx dude. Will make this into my siggy...

Again, I'm greatly impressed with the way Man City played. Silva was the key player, Richards was excellant as the attacking fullback, Balotelli, Kun and Dzeko again showed what good forwards they are.

gotta say nobody saw this coming. heck i bet most city fans were 'happily shocked' themselves. but what's most impressive is the manner of the goals. they were all team based, and most of them were literally passed into the net. nothing individually brilliant about them (except maybe for balotelli's), yet they highlighted what a great understanding in the attacking third can do for u. congrats and u guys are officially the scariest team in the epl right now.

but still looking forward to our meeting in the league, so we can duke it out and see who comes out on top! flex.gif

I was dismayed when Yaya was originally left out of the starting lineup list. But then positively sanguine when I saw NDJ was 'injured' and replaced by Yaya.

What a masterstroke by Mancini Who Dares to Win. Why then are we shocked and awed by the szechuan food dished by Balotelli et al?

If you are a United Fan seeking someone to blame for the indignities of your club by City's parking the Sherman tank at OT, just revisit the demolition derby at OT and cast your eyes to the dugout. There, furiously masticating, is your culprit.

I'm sorry if we actually have a life outside and don't just sit in front of computer trying to keep you people happy by posting every time we finished a game. BTW, just reached home after watching the game and had a few drinks with friends after that. After all, it's a Saturday night. So yeahh. Keep on generalizing. I'm never sick of those "glory hunting" comments from people. Haters gonna hate.

Back to the match, I was really impressed with Micah today. Had a terrific game there. And losing Kompany will be a big blow to us in the next few games. Let's hope we can keep this on without our captain. He took one for the team today. We're gonna miss him. Hopefully, Kolo or Savic can step up to it. *fingers crossed* And once again, AJ proved it again to the doubters. Bet he's doing all this to show Mancini what he's capable of. I just don't understand why Mancini is always so hard on him. He's a fantastic player and will only get better as he matures. smile.gif

Where are all the city fans? Last week there were so many..tonite ur team played n won, but no one here? Where have all u glory hunters gone?

Dont generalise everyone as glory hunters and fark off. it doesnt concern you. Go back your own thread and have your own orgies.
Oh wait, maybe 0-1 still not enough to start an orgy? It couldnt even patch the 1-6 wounds. hehehe

We can truly say Atwell the referee was 'poor' but then evans with 10 players against Wolves last night we still coped.
Anyways to reply to some of the posts here after cogitating, correlating and now having the opportune moment to communicate.
So lets begin the banter wink.gif

seriously, you can do better than that cbp, cant you?

Exciting match I must say.

Full of drama with certain quarters cheering Tony's boss while Manchester City is once again taking all 3 points.

You guys are definitely the team to beat this season. Good stuff. smile.gif

i kind of think our midfield is still a bit behind the barca's midfield.

now, since we are top in england , sooner or later we will shift attention to europe and barca stand in the way to the top of europe.

hope we can reinforced in january.

City should get a new coach, all this time Mancini no nuts managing the team,he's just hoping of luck and depends on top form player rather than being a tactical 1.

Prove on recent matches againts Napoli.

no,if u watched closely their gameplay from their consecutive title win, there is not tactical strategy from him even while Ibra still in rehab session,Mancini forced Ibra to play in the games.

Even that time assistant coach Mihajlovic doesnt like this fancy guy becoz he no nuts when in term of strategies in every matches.

I think he mean he doesnt have an alternative plan? Because if he is that sucks in strategy and tactic, his club wont be sitting at the top of table now. He sure has his fair bit of magic. Anyway, human makes mistake. smile.gif

exactly, what im seing that right now he have all the manpower in every position.Thats the main reason why he's still on top of league table and im still rooting for MC,but i dont have high hopes for Mancini when 2nd half of season gonna start later on.

If not,why he couldnt bring MC to win last season?
