QUOTE(gregy @ Sep 10 2011, 02:51 PM)
No point in over-revving when the engine has already passed its peak horsepower. Also, revving too high will cause valve float and may cause misfiring. If you really want, suggest to find someone to reflash the OEM ECU. Custom reflash is always better than aftermarket chips (which are near impossible to find for this car at the moment anyway). Every car is different, a generic chip won't be able to unleash as much power as an experienced tuner can.

IMO it is better to tune the car for higher torque across the rev range rather than trying to raise peak horsepower. For that, first you will need to do up the intake, header and exhaust (I/H/E). Then beef up the electricals (VS, grounding, alternator). Once you've done all that, send your car for a custom reflash.
*
or another way is to bolt-on force Induction...like Turbo and Supercharger(I'm aiming for SC)..
Turbo and Supercharger does increase horsepower n torque...problem is Turbo is, it had 'Turbo Lag' system, while Supercharger don't have any lagging issues, cause run with the crankshaft....correct me if wrong...while problem of Supercharger is it doesn't have rear end power, while Turbo had it.....Supercharger had better pickup and low-end to mid range torque(1RPM-4.5kRPMs), while sacrifices @ high spd compare with Turbo(of coz better than N/A), while MOSTLY tuned Turbos or twin turbos are for rear end torque(4.5k-10k++ RPMs)
mostly ppl use Turbos for Drag racing, circuit roads, more on straight, while Superchargers are more suitable for mountain pass like those Initial D mountain roads, another means...those with lots of corners, which doesn't use high gear(4th to 6th gear in M/T)...

with these 2, u can increase incredible amount of torque and horsepower.....

You mean that multi purpose cleaner? LOC? Ya, that one can be used to wash cars cos it's safe for our hands and the environment too.

Permanon is around RM88. Not 3x per month, but more like 3 months once smile.gif

Or you could get Sierra Glow / PPS / Itisbond etc. Range between RM700-1,200. Supposed to last a few years.

I would prefer Permanon cos I can top up the coating anytime on my own. It's supposed to last 6 months, but I think 3 months will be better if you really sayang your car. Takes less than 20 mins to coat the car. Senang aje smile.gif

Ohh, although i am not the 1st batch buyer,
but i follow Forte forum from very beginning last time  (MFC & KFC)
and now u reminds me of those day where ppl need to wait few months to get their Forte
So guess that SA who mention "K1" now are way outdated & didn't renew any new 'tactic" since Forte are now CKD, haha rclxms.gif
Haha, good then ~ it's about average 500 units Forte sold every month for the past record,
i think it's a good sign & somehow will help a bit on the 2nd hand value lor smile.gif
As for the FC, after 2nd Service now my FC is about 8.0L/100 km (full city drive)
I am very satisfied with this FC performance smile.gif
He is busy man, let me reply on behalf of him, haha !
His office at Serdang, you can click his name to find his sales thread smile.gif
If i'm not wrong, Forte consider partially 'national car" since it's assembled locally at Tajung Malim.
BUT no harm to wait till the new budget plan announce by our PM smile.gif
btw, tahu bila they will announce ?

Cheers

u r totally wrong...Forte is a korean car, never part of national car....it's assembled @ gurun, not tanjung malim...

not exactly true, i've changed and been using it for 7-8 mths....no problems....works better acually, no pulling 2 left dat fast ald...
acually is depends on workmanship of the shop...whether they fix it properly or not....not bcoz of the camber screw

QUOTE(jssl @ Sep 26 2011, 03:42 AM)
I never encounter similar problem
But based on my research last time,
There are few criteria that you must follow in order to play via USB thumb drive

(1) Capacity of thumb drive
- I read in foreign forum that our stock USB reader can't read or perform correctly for those thumb drive that the capacity is larger than XX GB
Sorry I can't remember what's the actual size
But mine is 8GB and it works like a charm

(2) Format of the Song
This one I discover by myself, .mp3 format is the safest audio format that our Forte can read
I had try .wma & .mp4 format, both format is not supported by our Forte.

If u already try both of the criteria above & still get error message, then I guess sth wrong & need to send back to SC smile.gif
Cheers

1. at least u're lucky coz has been warned, but me no one warned, even worse buy w/out test drive it...  rclxub.gif
2. mine no issue until today, bought apr 2010...
3. actually i prefer to blame GURUN... few 1st batch owners still could'nt find the squeaky sound even drive on unpaved road...
*
1. same as me, bought without a test drive, but lucky to get a very good 1...poorly is not 1.6 T.T
2. I think ours 1st batch(4 speeder) are QC are better than 2nd batch(6 speeder)...which is like CBU vs CKD
3. agree, is Gurun plant assembly problem, not the parts....sounds mostly came from installation issues...like loosen nuts, screw, washers etc.
