I was planning to lowered my ride with the higher profile tyre. So tat the comfort level will not b too rough.
*
bad train of thought. if comfort is your priority, please forget about lowering the car unless you're gonna invest in good spring/absorbers or adjustable (easily minimum of 2-3k ringgit even on basic proton rides)

Which kind of the spring/absorber is better for lowered in terms of not sacrifice too much comfort?  hmm.gif
*
very expensive ones such as eibach/H&R/titan/RCS those kind

Guys I have a Goodyear tire having a irregular bum. This tire is still very new actually, about 2 years old only. Can I claim warranty? This was bought in Melaka and now I'm in KL, do I have to travel back down Melaka to claim it?
*
1) irregular wear = no claim, own fault
2) 2 years is not very new, as tires life span = ~3 years max

tldr: nope.

try avoid the most basic of the tires if driving in KL. u be driving often on lebuhraya with many quick slowdowns. even speed like 80 km in the rain is enough to make you skid. even XM2 is not that expensive if u consider a lifespan of 2 years, safety first.
*
oh ya not to mention, xm2 is michelin's basic tire, not even for spirited driving ROFL

that i wouldn't know. lol... never used it before. just a general saying anyway.

i stand corrected.

anyway, my point is that one should not scrimp on tyres
*
no worries, not really pointing to you, more towards the poster you replied to. as he mentioned spirited driving sweat.gif

and yes agreed fully on your point. you'll never know when you need the stopping power even if you drive slow smile.gif

I suspect of the quality issue. Made me think twice before buying Korean tires from now on. However I think Hankook is quite good.
*
the general rule = you get what you pay for.

however korean tires aren't that bad and i believe they are improving. and i also know there are many satisfied users. could be a lemon unit, hard to say/tell for sure. try to do a warranty claim on the tire since it well, exploded clean.

What sort of concern should I have changing from 185/65R15 to 195/65R15?

I've checked the clearance of stock tire, it seems ok though.
*
height clearance won't be an issues cine the profile/rim diameter is the same.

only concerns would be:
- rim potentially not wide enough to support the additional width (then again there are some really radical fittings so this shouldn't be a concern either)

- tire hit fender issue on the inside, which means need spacers
get it in pairs, prolly just a thin one since just 185 to 195

if you fit the tire and the clearance is still ok, then no need spacer (save your money and better wheel rigidity since no additional element)

There are some of club members fitted with 195/60R15. No issue at all.

The problem now is getting 195/60 tires, aiming for comfort and better grip.

I asked on Conti CPC2, that's what the guy suggested 195/65.

Wanted to try other tires, but it seems Puchong not many choices except those cheaper ones.
*
if other members feedback no issue and assuming they have not modded the springs, then it'll be of no issue.

im on 195/55/15. pretty much same criteria/requirement, and i'm very satisfied on my Yokohama c drive 2 smile.gif

there are many claims on fast treadwear, which is true, however i've used my tires for like 19-20k km, 1 year, and its only about 50-60% left. not too bad i think. (was expecting worse since many feedback that the tires only last 30-40k km)
it's not like i don't drive my car aggressively either rolleyes.gif

Hi Guys.

Been using the stock Cc5 that comes with my car but after 2.5k milage start to notice the road noises d.

Are there any better and quieter tyres out there ? Sorry i dont know anything when it comes to tyre
*
can consider yokohama's c drive2/advan db or toyo's versado series/c1s or michelin's ps3

Whats the benchmark pricing for those tyre? Are they better in handling than CC5?
*
cant comment for toyo, however i firmly believe yokohama/michelin would easily out handle/perform the conti cc 5 smile.gif

pricing wise, i believe all of them more expensive than cc5 too, having the advan db and michelin ps3/high end versado range from toyo being the priciest of the bunch

yoko a-drive aa01 has 155/65/13 and 165/60/13

the bestest for the size is michelim xm1(if you can find it)
2nd bestest is continental cc1
3rd --- yoko a-drive aa01
*
conti cc1 is rubbish lol.

stock tires that came with the nissan sentra year 2007

CC5 sidewall's is too soft already. Can feel the flexing also. Yokohama Decibel range I think okay la.
A.Drive is like CC5 also. C.Drive2 not as quiet as XM2. Bridgestone range I only know the performance
range so I have no idea about comfort range.
Michelin PS3 also worth a look.
*
C drive 2 sidewall is around the same softness if not even softer than cc 5. a drive is yokohama's basic tire so comfort/nvh wise can't compare to cc5.
overall c drive 2 will beat xm2 in comfort/nvh as xm2's nvh worsen after 30-40% tread usage. c drive2 remains quite consistent with the comfort/nvh although it doesn't last as long as xm2 (definitely doesn't cost as much as xm2 though)

Hi guys, need some recommendations. I need to change all four of my tyres. My current tyre is Silverstone NS 5000 kruizer. Can anyone recommend me a new set. Current tyre size 195/60/15. I also in a tight budget. Thanks!
*
how tight? got an actual price? if really tight, stick with basic tires. no choice anyways

Maybe around RM 200 - RM 230 per tyre. I saw CC5 is in my budget. Can anyone recommend me others? icon_question.gif  notworthy.gif
*
yokohama c drive 2 if you dont mind the shorter treadwear.

im using 195/60/15 for around rm220-230 per tire on the nissan sentra, 55 profile on the iswara

I might go for longer tire treadwear. at least can hold on longer. Means CC5 have better treadwear than Yokohama? blink.gif
*
generally, yes.

grip/nvh not as much though

correct me if i am wrong, CC5 is better than my previous tires (Silverstone ns 5000) right?
*
ns5000 basic tire, cc5 comfort tire, so at least cc5 is good in something. so yes, it is better.
