After update, some apps are still not updating. Am not rooted, not using any kind of proxy. I don't expect Acer to fix this as this is a Google issue. Tablet feels very speedy tho.

Amazing! Yesterday there was no corporate Exchange support, so today while I was fiddling with my Calendar I tried entering the settings for my work email and suddenly the default Mail app is able to sync with my office exchange server :-)

I root because :

1. I can backup/restore my apps/data using Titanium Backup which need root. Another app MyBackupPro can only backup PIM data and apk files BUT not the data/settings  associated with the apps . To do this, you need root

2. I can use screenshot apps eg Shootme

3. I can push files thro ADB using terminal

4. In coming months - we could flash 3rd party kernels and roms when available

5. To access more free/paid apps in Market using Market Enabler or MarketAccess. Your suggestion of methods of obtaining apk files might not be acceptable to some users. I am one of such users  who buy his apps and do not use such 3rd party methods . Having involved several years in software development,  I appreciate the efforts and hardships programmers/developers go through. Android apps are relatively cheap US99 cents to average US$ 2-3 - without user support these developers will just give up eventually.

Good points, but at this time I'm just thinking that with this current market problem Google is killing the developers without any software pirates helping :-(

I urge everyone who hasn't reported this to Google to do so immediately. We need to put some pressure to fix this, and quick!
