In a way that is true, except the BT KB will not hold it firmly. So it become a bit flimsy I guess as there is no hinge to hold the panel up right to the angle you wanted. I tested this for 2 nights and I love the idea with the KB dock in. If you dont have such habit, well.. I guess the BT KB will work just right. Also, netbook or notebook can really become hot easily,  I dont have to use any special fan for this one... ha ha

side topic a bit, I notice the Acer W500  ( the one with windows 7), you can dock it, but you cant close it... thats kinda wierd isnt it.

yeah, I actually bought a netbook case to put my asus+dock in on the same day.  I already carry them around the mall and found that is not too bad too.  Also, I was in another phone shop asking for screen protector. He said what size, I said for my asus tablet 10.1". He said, let me see, so I showed him and he said, but this is not a tablet, this is a notebook. Then I undock it and the guy feel so suprise and malu also actually and he said.. like that also can ah?

in McD also the same, I guess people dont know about tablet like Asus yet. It takes time but that was fun to see faces which amazed and didnt realized such product exist.

I guess I'll just use this casing for a while since I have my DSLR camera bag which I can slot in also and do some editing when needed later on.

Was not successful in getting Clear.fi to load content from my FreeNAS 7.2 NAS server DLNA profile.

I was able to install TVMobili on my Windows 7 64bit. Using upnplay I can stream normal AVI movies with no problem on 720HD is jerky which I think could be due to the Wifi Bandwidth. But at least it work.

Unfortunately that is the case at the moment, you be surprised how many Acer accessories there are for the Iconia.

Official SP with Anti Glare and Anti Reflection (think 2 pieces) is SGD 49 but some stores with loyalty cards go for SGD 46

Protective Case is SGD 49 (some with loyalty points is SGD 46)

HDMI cable for SGD 29. Think you get a cheaper 3rd party option better since those too works. 150cm in length.

Capacitive Pen for SGD 39. Again even those from Apple shops works.

Bluetooth keyboard going for SGD 99. Anyone tried pairing with a 3rd party BT keyboard.

Dock station with IR remote (forgot whether got built in speakers) going for SGD 99.

Iconia A500 retailing for SGD799 and Eee Pad going for SGD699 (16GB model). Xoom most expensive at SGD 988 for 3G model.

Stuck in a meeting at the moment but the 3rd party stuff like capacitive pens, SP and HDMI will work. Only thing is the BT keyboard, I never need to pair with one so I not sure how well the Acer handles it. The dock is over rated, acts like the one for the Atrix TV dock.

Handled a prototype GTab 10.1, feels awesome but as many said lacking in internal ports, everything is via external connectors like iPad.

Yeah the SP and case are hot selling, the other items not because you can do without them and frankly you can use other brands for those well with the possible exception of the official dock. Comes with IR remote and allows you to connect to external remote.

The Acer SP comes with 2 pieces, anti reflective and anti glare. Stuck mine but damn caught 2 pieces of dirt in there lol ah well better than nothing. But the case is a very very tight fit, not sure whether made worse by the SP or not.
