does the vostro line use switchable graphic? the detail on dell website is quite confusing
QUOTE Smarter graphics: Boost your graphics performance with Vostro's switchable graphics. Vostro 3450 laptops use a high-performance Nvidia® video card for graphics-intensive tasks. When it detects that you require less power, it automatically switches the visually smart Intel integrated HD graphics — helping deliver more performance on a single battery charge. i thought in configuration page, you can choose either radeon 6630 and intel hd, it should be just either one? |

QUOTE(fJok3R @ May 24 2011, 04:47 PM) does the vostro line use switchable graphic? the detail on dell website is quite confusing haha, good find there bro i thought in configuration page, you can choose either radeon 6630 and intel hd, it should be just either one? Well, switchable graphics are only available if you opt for a dedicated GPU (duh!) Iinm, the AMD HD6630 in the Inspiron 14R is switchable as well, so it won't be a surprise if the Vostro is capable of doing that as well |

If you choose Intel HD, then it only have Intel HD,
If you choose Radeon HD6630, it would have switchable GPU.. |

QUOTE(duabijitelur @ May 24 2011, 06:11 PM) The only thing innovative about it is the keyboard lol... others are just too..... predictable...The chassis contains too much elements from the standard XPS 15... and the speaker grills look just like those in Lenovo units But still, its the slimmest 15" I think? |

QUOTE(mentos @ May 24 2011, 08:33 PM) LOL, another reason why you should get the one with i5-2410M Recent Lenovo notebooks offer ergonomic keyboards which will be good for your hands, especially for prolonged usage. This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: May 24 2011, 08:45 PM |

QUOTE(mentos @ May 24 2011, 08:33 PM) See? Listing out the models are better And yes, I did play with the G470 myself and it feels like I'm molesting a hot chick HP on the other hand is just very conventional with their ways of selling laptops and it's just not appealing yet expensive |
