Did you install KIes? And driver? (When you first plug in your usb, your comp will automatically install new driver.)

QUOTE(brotan @ May 18 2011, 05:42 PM)
btw. for charging the phone, i see earlier post, drain battery first then only charge to full?

I installed n successfully recognize by kies...but when turn to download mode...the odin just did not detect my phone by showing the com port...
*
your download mode background is android on skateboard right? There is nothing in com port? no yellow color sign?
Which odin version you're using?
Try to plug into another usb port.

Guys after flashing KE2 firmware, like how other users were complaining on xda, i found my battery usage dominated by android system. any users have experienced this as well? unplugged @ 1am @ 100% battery and when i woke up 8am this morning battery is down to 80%.
*
Android system or android OS? my KE2 firmware never experience battery drain, unplugged at 2am (100%) till 12pm (97%). School holiday so wake up late. laugh.gif

QUOTE(yehlai @ May 20 2011, 02:59 PM)
Now full alrdy.... took so loong  to full charge!!!! But drain very fast... typical android phone sleep.gif
*
from 0-100% usually will take 3-4hrs.
How fast is your battery drain? your usage? Mine on average last 20hours, that if my gf play fruit ninja for 3-4 hours. sweat.gif

wow, the quality of the cover is good?
thinking to get one here too!

Premium feel. laugh.gif
Nicely crafted and fit perfectly but one thing I doesn't like is that I have to open the cover when I'm charging it. They didn't cut a hole for usb port. sweat.gif

so it is powersource -> mini usb and another option is PC USB-> mini USB? or i mess it up again? XD
*
All smartphone come standardise with mini USB. When you charge using USB cable (which connect to your comp USB port) that is not good for your battery health.

i think it wont harm phone battery cause the voltage of usb charging is low and then  when battery full it will auto stop charging

Well, XDA people who investigate this. I just follow their investigation. laugh.gif

as far as I know there are many of them in xda bought PAYG from p4u and is unbranded and unlocked. Still CPW offer the cheapest PAYG unbranded and unlocked. I never trust p4u and never buy phone from them. biggrin.gif

won't this cause void of warranty? and what if done wrong, will it damage the phone? scared later can't claim... sweat.gif
*
Basically is the same as Jailbreak on iPhone. You won't go wrong with ODIN and Superoneclick which is just 1 click away.
Rooting will definitely void your warranty and in download mode you can see your count of using custom kernel. By reseting it you'll need a "jig", can be purchase in ebay or search youtube on how to make it. biggrin.gif
