Go ask pastry suppliers. Lots of pastry shops/bakeries/restaurants buy them in bulk.
You could probably ask friends who works with hotels/restaurants about it.

The nearest I managed to contact was Lay Hong (03-33434888) talked to Ms Zoey Gan. Unfortunately they only have liquid egg and they don't do retail, only sell to restaurant or hotels.

Looks like liquid egg not very popular or low demand or no one is doing for consumers in malaysia.

Smells like a business opportunity to me, especially for those who practice high protein, low carb diets.

Any takes to be my business partners? biggrin.gif

Thanks.

cheers,
~CB

Managed to track someone in KL who sells liquid egg whites. The price quoted to me is as follows:

1. RM19 for 1 litre (consists of 28 - 30 eggs)
2. RM33 for 2 litres (consists of 58 - 60 eggs)

I'm awaiting his phone call to find out where we can COD. Will keep you guys updated if you're still interested.

Found this guy from alibaba who sells eggwhites - 1kg RM19 and 2kg RM33. But he mentioned there's an RM10 delivery charge and only in Klang Valley.

email arnold@myeggwhite.com

I'm considering buying eventhough it's pricier than buying eggs and separating myself, just so I can mix these pasteurized eggs raw into shakes.

You don't have any friends or family in Klang Valley? Delivery is within 24 hours so you could always pick them up when your in the area.

Arnold said the frozen eggwhites can last for about a year. (If keep in the fridge about 10 days).

Got discount if you buy more. RM70 for 4 1litre bottle... which brings the cost to about 60cents per egg. 15cents extra for pasteurized eggs and no hassle of separating the yolks. He said purchasing in 2litre bottles would be cheaper but suggested I tried the 1litre bottle first.

It's in bottle form though.. they're only coming out with a pump (1 pump = 1 egg) in November.

Liquid egg whites quite sticky, wil it b messy to handle like when u pour a bit, out comes a whole bunch ? Anyone tried it yet ? Can't get the icky thought away.. pour egg whites into my mouth.. Kinda get used to cooking an egg b4 consuming it. Also will it mix if added into fruit juice & shake or clump in a corner ? Any advantage to eating eggwhite compared to whey ? I'm interested cos whey sort of slips thro my stomach & leaves me hungry in a while & egg might keep me full longer, that if this is true..

Got myself some eggwhite at last & was kinda pleased it did turn out well.

- 'pourability' : passed did not stick to spout
- taste : pass kua. added to my morning shake & did not discern any eggy/fishy smell. mayb masked due to many ingredients in my blender.
- mixability : used blender so no problems at all

A few last tests & if it passes these, then all is well
- if it mixes well in a shaker
- & does not taste icky when mixed with whey alone

Some thoughts:

Sources say only cooked egg white is digestible.

Protein 10% water 90%.

If not using it raw, then might as well cook a whole egg:

Yolk contains 20% of all protein in a whole egg.

Yolk also rich in vitamins and minerals not easily obtainable in other foods.

Yolk less than 5g fat, easily offset somewhere else in a day's diet.

Hai, yes it is a little more expensive because of the Pasteurization process. When you cook or boil the egg's you will bring down the protein level. Further more when it is in a solid from it will take longer to breakdown in your body system. After years of research and millions spent on machines, i think rm 33 if a very fair price. Dont forget 100ml = 10g protein and 100% bio available yeah. Slow release of protein as well..so all your work out wont go to waste.

Those ppl probably regularly consume sugar and processed foods. On top of all that, of course any extra calories will be detrimental to them.
So they eat white only.

Eggs are very healthy, egg yolks have the best kind of fatty acid.
When I was deciding to become a vegan or vegetarian, being vegetarian was made so much easier cos how nutritional eggs are.

Nowadays a lot of health apps can track macro and micro nutrients.
I use Samsung Health, already come with the phone.

Can. In fact, if you eat just white, it's like an "empty food".

Food market, specifically sugar industry is like that. They say fat is bad. Fat is never bad.
In fact, if you already have cholesterol problem, you need more fat to produce hormones to reduce your cholesterol level.
