Then, look at S330 or other lower end series? If you don't want that big bulky thing around ur pc. For personal use, I'd really think that edifier lower end series already does the job. Satisfied with my M1335. Best bang for buck @ RM109 xD Serves me really well. Small small thing, big big sound. wahaha

i was helping a relative of friend looking for speaker under RM100. finally helped him to decide to get one Edifier M1380. in the booth, also managed to play with S730 with my phone (use SH-1 EQ) and try adjust some settings. not bad at all, the sub did not introduce any sign of clipping and much distortion (at vol50, sub+10, bass 0 to +6), treble 0 to +6) unlike the MX6021. need more power but did not know how to do volume boost...

How much is it? What about those creative ones?

Btw, on Edifier's website, it states that S530D is best for movies and gaming. I don't watch movies or gaming that much on my PC, I think about 80% of the time I listen to music. So I'm looking for the best speaker under RM800 for music listening I love bass tho

Asus Xonar DS costs around RM249, or you can try out Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro USB cost around RM239. Not so sure about Asus Xonar DS, but it uses Wolfson DAC which I like the sound compare to other DAC. Creative X-Fi 5.1 USB used Cirrus Logic DAC tend to have a bit of grinding treble to me.

Alright, will consider that. S530D is about RM750, the card is RM250, wow that's RM1000 already Hopefully it's worth it

after getting the S530D you might wanna do a slight mod inside the subwoofer.
you need to line the walls of the subwoofer with some stuffing cuz I realize that the subwoofer do ring a little.(to me it's a huge bug for bass)


pillow stuffing,aquarium filter,or any spongy material you can find that absorbs sound.

one last thing, since this is a ported subwoofer, the channel from the speaker to the port must run freely and never let the stuffing restricts the air flow
