...... It's doing well now. Don't bother to move it. Lol~~ And the stock satellite cable is just long enough for me to put two satellites on each end of my TV table. Another thing is... If i need to bring it out everytime i use it then i don't even need to put it back since my family members are using it almost all of the time. Lol... I'm not the main user. As long as my family no complain, I din complain too. The bass is doing well though... Even inside the shelf. Shaky shaky~~

DA5000 Pro can accept both stereo or 5.1ch input.
Ur device must able to output 5.1 in order to utilize it by connecting to 5.1ch input. If your devices have only stereo output, just connect them to PC (Left/Right for White/Red with RCA cables). You can find exactly the same looking port somewhere around your TV with both red and white audio output. If your TV has 5.1ch output which is quite rare.
Referring to HERE, PS3 can output 5.1 via HDMI. If your TV can handle 5.1audio and accept HDMI input, you may use your TV to decode the digital signal and transfer the audio signal to ur speaker. You'll be connecting your PS3 to TV's input and then output audio from your TV. Maybe you should wait for some DA5000 pro owner here to give comment. If u're just using the Stereo Input on DA5000 Pro, I'm not sure whether the speaker is capable of upscaling 2.1ch to 5.1ch to play on all satellites though.
Afterall, just something from me. Need experts to clarify it as it's 5.1. If it's 2.1, just simply connect through RCA or from 3.5 out to RCA for left and right only. 5.1 got Front/Rear/Center/Sub which is more of a mess xD.

Yea... if you get another amplifier, your DA5000 Pro might "explode" JK but it will spoil. Why don't you just connect ur ps3 to TV and output audio from TV? LCD/LED tv nowadays mostly got HDMI input which these tv will decode the av digital signal from input.

If you're not connecting your PS3... Yes... But ur speaker is connected to the DVD player instead of TV. There will be something weird. Sometimes, ppl is used to switching off TV in which when the display is gone, your sound is also gone. If you output via DVD, you switch of the TV, not the DVD, the sound still going on. Lol~ I really think rarely got 5.1 output on TV la. Look at THIS. Maybe something that you want but it should be quite expensive. Let other sifus help you out. gtg packing~

I think you need something that decode 5.1 audio either from optical out or hdmi out. Normally optical out straight to speakers that decode digital signal but DA5000 Pro doesn't. The other way is hdmi to another device that receive and decode 5.1 from HDMI signal then send it out through its audio output to the speaker.

If your laptop support 5.1, it should at least have 3 3.5mm ports else digital out. It's uncommon for laptops to have 3 output though. But mine, Dell studio series do have 3 output. The first headphone port for front L/R, second headphone port for rear L/R and third is a line in which also works as output for center/LFE. Tadaaaa 5.1 xD

Lol... You're comparing two models of totally different price point and performance. If you have the budget, go all the way to S730 xD Poisonous! Other questions let others give comments as i don't own them. But audition at lowyat tells me that S730 is totally awesome and is freaking. Shake your room with that baby!! Mids and Highs are also awesome to me. More than sufficient bass to hit your heart. haha

Oh ya... Foobar2k users... Any idea how to "normalize" in foobar? My music files are not "normalized". Got few files sounded very soft. Hope it can normalize by itself xD

Oh... That means you're connecting in stereo mode then da5000pro upscale it to 5.1. Your rear speaker should be really in your "rear" for the surround effect. I don't think SRS TruSurround will do anything though. Maybe just the effect of Left and Right is more significant as it's playing through 5 satellites not 2 in 2.1 speaker sets. Just my 0.20

Anyone know how to remove the unknown codes? Before I reformat... It displays all fine but after I reformat and got myself newer version of fbar then became like this...

It sounded nice for me without any tweaks. The nice thing you can play with is the equalizer xD

Bigger shops in lowyat do carry them and have display set for audition purposes. Their showroom is in subang jaya
