hi guys need some recommendation for Edifier 2.1 speakers with max RM500 budget.

s330D, HCS2330 and C3 what are the pro and cons? any other brand recommendation for budget lesser than RM500?

guys! i need help asap! my amplifier just died on me while watching a movie...i heard a sound from the amplifier like "zeeettt"....then the light & volume display fades away....few seconds later i can smell a burn smell.

Now my question is how much does it cost for replacement for the c3 amplifier incase cannot repair it? any common problems on the c3 amplifier like this? what just burned? the capacitor? how can i diagnose the problem?

its still under warranty...edifier c3 is 1 year warranty right? i bought on 2 may 2011....how long does it take to rma it? probably best to send a pm to mr.edifier right? man....my life is gonna suck without songs now....

btw if i open it to check what burned will it void my warranty? scared to open since its still under warranty...

Added on March 21, 2012, 6:43 pmi believe my fuse burned since i open the fuse behind & there is black mark....the fuse is labeled as T800mAL/250V.

i went to my local hardware shop & manage to find F1AL/250V. can i use this fuse? will it damage my unit for not using the exact fuse model?

changing the fuse will not void the warranty. If you didn't use the exact value for your fuse, you could be doing silly things and may cause more trouble.

but if you've changed to a correct fuse and still doesn't work, a trip for warranty will still work

well I've never ordered any special valued fuses before. only common 13A fuses...
so I can't help anything

Just send back to edifier la. I think it's easier than that you need to look around for that fuse. Ask them help you clean the dust (if there is) inside the amp too.

i am student....kinda hard to travel all the way to rma but i asked mr.edifier i want to order the fuse & pos to my address...still waiting for his pm

Me also student. That's why my M1335 plug got problem for whole year d i still haven't send for RMA. The warranty is going over in another month time. (PC Fair time la coz I bought it at PC Fair (I) two years back. haha...

anyway i already order the fuse from edifier...lets hope they can pos to my house soon...hopefully its just the fuse that got burned & not the amplifier internal parts...or else then need to send rma....

personally only owned s330, and audit C3 and C2(similar version with HCS2330)

size: s330<c2<<c3 so if u have limited space u know how to choose

treble: c2<c3<s330

mid: c2<s330<c3 but if upper mid probably s330 better,it sound good with female vocal but lack of lower mid hence obvious gap with its subwoofer (quite often happened with pc 2.1 speaker)

bass: c2<s330<c3 ~personally prefer c3 bass over s330, due it go deeper to me, and s330 do offer more quantity in term of bass but not that deep.

c2 did not get my good impression, but i did not sure about is it sound similar with HCS2330

cons: since i only owned s330, volume not that enough for me since it sound start distort @ around 65% of its wired controller, bass go muddy around this volume also(bass setting around 1 o clock, and lack of lower mid(hence vocal thin), not punchy enough, but did not expect much from its price....

other brand recommendation, with your budget, can consider logitech z623 as well, different sound signature, since sound depend on personal preference, so you better go audit them and trust ur ear....

Can recommend how does C3 compares with Edifier R1600T or edifier 2.0 speaker? Should repair the C3 or get a new set directly?

haha yesterday i went 2 lowyat plaza 4 the 1st time ever in 7 years n man!!!sri computers got few boxes of S730 in their stock shelf they even have the new logitech Z906 in few boxes on their shelf s well...it makes me realize just how much i have miss out a lot on hot computer items in KL 4 not leaving my hometown 4 dam long time dy i kinda like the modem shape volume knob 4 the logitechs though

hahaha speaking of students life,,,i like 2 say that i already get 2 buy the top end edifier while i was still student n bringing the neighbourhood down in the process after exam finish
