i blame the hype. i too have been following those "issues" pertaining the ipad 2 and i didnt feel like buying one..heck,when i saw all the threads here, i wanted to get one.haha.

Normally people upload to facebook or share using google doc. Seems like you guys are not updated. Noob in technology I think.

there is nothing wrong or great to have if we opt to have both options. what if during internet connection interrupt and then urgent need?, lol

Apple purposely put lousy back camera into iPad 2 ; so when they put a better camera into iPad 3 , they'll have something to shout about to make u want to upgrade!

Specs for ipad2 ler..

I'm comparing ipad2 with playbook because they are both tablets, you see They are both slim enough to be called slim, only 1.3mm difference, that is lesser than in between this double (i) put together --> ii , but still they (RIM) managed to get a whole lot better pixel camera output.. please also note that their launch price is about the same too! *shocked*

You said that it is impossible for apple to put 5mp sensors as they are too thin.. IMHO, it is very much possible!~

My assumption stays, they just don't want to, as yet..

Later i'll check on the exact pixel of the pics taken by the back camera.. if it is 1280 x 720, it is 0.92mp.. if it is 960 x 720, it is 0.7mp..

Urmm, taking video in apple seems like taking pictures all the way.. i mean, apple 'play' the pictures for it to be a movie.. its all about frames and fps..

lets us all pray that in the next ipad, it will be greater than current 5mp (other manufacturer of tablets) pics..

and urmm... facetime can use both camera.. but 1 at a time..

This camera is just launch. Waiting for preview and see how is the picture quality. Owning a nikon camera is my dream. But most of their compact camera is not that good spec. But DSLR is good.

I m eying on panasonic LX5 to upgrade.

With the specs being revealed, I'm sure you guys are fully aware of the camera before even thinking of purchasing it. Plus, the 100 of times you guys went to the store and tested out the device, would have given you an idea of what kind of camera you're getting with your iPad 2. Camera was never the shout out feature of iPad 2.
