A little dissapointed on MIDs balance, too harsh which make it sounds noisy when the vocalist reach on higher pitch. Solid Bass (overclockable bass) not muffled unlike EX51.
:: Music category ::
Perfect for on classical instrument, movie score & new age. Very noisy when playing Metal.
:: Solution ::
Need to play with sound customisation to make it more balance = 'polished'
::Rival::
The Panasonic HJE50 is your best choice than Philips SHE9500, although HJE50 has 'noisy mid' you can feel the bass.
However, given 3 choice of canal phones; Logitech Playgear, Philips SHE9500 & Panasonic HJE50, personally I select Logitech Playgear .
:: Basic Comparison::
Ease listening; Logitech Playgear
Bass head ; Sony EX51
Clarity; Panasonic HJE50
Louder; Philips SHE9500
(Personal comparison preferences)
1. Logitech Playgear
Some says not worth, less details, responsive Trubass (55Hz)
2. Sony EX51
Bassy, Trubass recommended (58Hz) , suits with most DAP, jack@ss cord quality
3. Panasonic HJE50
Tight Bass, Mild Trubass response (53Hz), very potent by value, user EQ needed
4. Philips SHE9500
Weak Trubass test = failed
btw; all test base on experience, not professional test
