I finalise with Janus and YSE.

Was skew towards Janus but at the end choose YSE, I felt YSE provide better choice as overall.

Biggest Janus weakness is required of a key to lock the door even from inside the house.

I prefer to have both high strength and user-friendliness.
Janus seems to have better build door leaf whereas YSE door leaf is acceptable and better than other brands but not as solid as Janus. YSE door is able to be locked with a slight counter twist of the handle both from inside and outside.

My house has a lot of activities within our porch and garden. IMHO, Janus door requires a key to lock the door in every single usage is very impractical. Were also informed that if we leave a key permanently at the indoor side of the door may cause the lock not able to be open/lock from outside if the cylinder is not properly aligned. I really dont want to have a break-in scenario simply because the strong door was not locked.

Others finding I notice

-Janus have a lock pin on top of door, so water and debris maybe issue.
-Janus have a expose metal door frame on the floor whereas YSE is buried under tiles. Therefore YSE requires to install a lock pin hole on the floor.
-Janus hidden hinges open at 110 degrees and YSE expose hinges open at 180 degrees. Janus hinges allow alignment adjustment; YSE is using fixed butterfly hinges.
-Janus has a rubber seal along the door frame (like car)

cheers

Which version of YSE do you choose? Zen?
Is it common for front and rear doors to be installed opening inward for household?

Zen.

Is up to you to open inward or outward, depend on the space and practical issue.
if inward, you can add a metal bar to strengthen the security.

I install one inward and another outward.

Do you have a pic of how to add the metal bar at the door?

I would like to have Janus but it's too expensive for my current budget. Need it for emergency, so I have to choose THC since the price is fitted in my budget. Quality not bad actually.

About to buy the THC security door mild steel double leaf 5 by 7, and kitchen 3 by 7 but wanted to check here first for feedback.

I just notice that the mild steel is prone to rust if scratched and not maintained and only 1 year warranty for the lock.

Should I be looking at other brands or this is normal?

YSE would cost 50% more for the zen series for front (5x7.5) and back (3x7.5) compared to THC, but they use electro galvanised sheet.

I just find that the current selection of security doors are a bit dated, with the Stainless steel look and all. In terms of looks, I find Delux looks pretty nice https://www.facebook.com/415954768609967/po...45655988973167/

but aluminium doors? Pretty sure it's not as sturdy right? I'm also sure pricing wise is pretty steep. Anybody opted for delux?

Mind to tell the actual price? Perhaps the price diff because of the material used you mentioned, mild steel is a big no for me.

Their security door design doesn't look much diff compare to those I survey, might be a good option if plan to replace house gate.

I got actually, just that the sales lady was so passive so i also not interested.

They do provide the longer door lock warranty depending on the type of doors.
