problem mine pumped with the nitrogen air... have to go back to the shop le.... can i pump at those pertrol station ? the mechanic told me it would damage my tires wor in long term... really or not?
*
Nevermind can mix one.. Nitrogen air and normal air not much difference lah.. just that the nitrogen air wont expand that much only.

QUOTE(saddient @ May 2 2011, 07:22 PM)
Xan and Zeng pls help me identify..... the sounds kinda loud right ?

*
Sounds loud.. But doesnt sound really like IAFM problem, to be more like engine having eough idling When u recorded the video from the right hand side of the engine u can hear a light tap tap tap sound, Ur IAFM on its journey down to hell ady.. U shd have rev rev a bit the engine.. If u hear the tap tap tap sound revving up together then its confirm IAFM problem, if the sound disappears then its due to rough engine idling..

QUOTE(forbidden84 @ May 2 2011, 08:47 PM)
Im at penang now o... is there any TT at penang? hehe.

I wan to buy the brake pad also.. count me in.. smile.gif

wonder why proton coolant so expensive, RM24 per-bottle  hmm.gif
at outside just RM4.99
*
The 4.99 coolant dont have so high boiling point leh.. Good coolants like Denso one are expensive, around RM35 per litre.. But its very good..

QUOTE(summer9uy @ May 2 2011, 10:46 PM)
Hey where and how does the IAFM module looks like?
This morning i notice during cold start there is like knocking sound when I rev the engine. But after warm up for like 2 minits, sounds gone..
*
Then thats iAFM problem.. The sound didnt go away.. it just became softer as the plastic got warmed up..

Rapid Stop 550'C Brake Pads. Front only, RM 130. For H-Line owners with rear disc brakes, if you want the rear brake pads as well I'll have to ask for a different quotation from the dealer. For now the bulk is for front brake pads only.

user posted image

Pros of RS:
1. Higher working temp.
2. Doesn't need to warm up first every time u start ur car to provide immense braking power.
3. Less fading, lasts longer.
4. Less brake dust than OEM pads.
5. Price.

Cons of RS:
1. Needs bedding in.
2. Not so well known like MKT.
3. Can be spongy if not bed in correctly.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q. Are the brake pads good enough for my fast & furious driving characteristics?
A. Yes, definitely more than good enough as these are high temperature brake pads. As long as it's bedded in correctly, it will work better than most pads of the same price.

Q. What's bedding in?
A. Bedding in, or burnishing in, is an important process that must be carried out in order to ensure that the brake pad compound can properly mate with the rotor surface. If done correctly, it creates a nice, even, transfer film of pad compound on the rotor surface.

Q. Will it affect my warranty?
A. No, as the warranty for our cars does not cover wear and tear items such as brake pads and tyres.

Q. Is it better than other well known brake pads such as Bendix MKT & Ceramic Nao?
A. I can't say much here, but I've personally tried MKT on another car, it doesn't satisfy my braking needs. I haven't tried Ceramic Nao before though, so I can't comment much.

If possible, a TT will be held where buyers will be given their brake pads and will be taught on how to bed in the brake pads accordingly & evenly.

RM 130 only, need at least 10 members here to get bulk price. Might be able to get cheaper if more people join the bulk.

Of course, if you would like to bank in earlier, you are welcomed to do so as this will speed up the ordering process if there are 5 or more people who pay for the brake pads in advance.

So far 1 member has already paid the full amount for the brake pads, I will need at least another 4 members to pay up front the full amount to make the order.

PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THIS and try not to delay the payment as to not consequently delay the delivery of the brake pads.

Thank you.

The names that are striked out are those who have already paid the full amount for the brake pads.

Can lah. The air u breathe in also contains nitrogen what. The difference is just the expansion level only. If u're worry, flatten ur tyre then inflate it again using purely air from petrol station.
whistling.gif IAFM crying..
Alrite buddy.
I suppose u know where ur extractor is? Like a reflection of the mirror, ur IAFM is located behind the engine block. It looks exactly like the stock extractor except that it's made of plastic.
Already stated in 1st page 1st post. U should go get it checked. The sound will be gone after u warm up ur engine, but when it gets more severe the noise will be there permanently.

Lol thats y dont use Shell lah.

QUOTE(fenrir0402 @ May 3 2011, 04:06 PM)
1 litre lube ok or not? i plan to buy my own lube for this coming 5k service, which 1 i should go for? semi synthetic can? my budget around rm50
*
*joke of the day*..
haha.. 1 litre only u pour for motorbike meh? U need 3.75L for ur car.. And the most economical u can get is 4L pack.. Budget RM50 u can only get mineral oil from chapalang brand. U want good mineral oil also around Rm65. Better go for Semi sync Castrol Magnatec 10W-40 cos u take a long time to chalk up ur mileage.. So long term oil stability is more important for u.. and since u travel short distance u always start stop a lot.. So castrol magnatec the best for u.

QUOTE(dadurtyz @ May 3 2011, 04:10 PM)
castrol magnatec bro, u can check my last post with picture attach. bough at TESCO RM99
*
I bought at Giant last night.. Rm100, SN grade wei!!!! hehehe.. Not SM one.. and i get rm5 voucher.. So consider its RM95 only lah.

QUOTE(ychoong @ May 3 2011, 04:13 PM)
20k service need change atf oil??

Wat about brake oil?

Atf use castrol can?
*
ATF change every 20k.. If u want good one and u got the budget go for AMSoil SevereGear 75W-90. Its the best money can buy.. But its quite expensive lah.. ARound Rm38-45 a litre and u need 5 litre. But AMSoil one can last 100k km. ur OEM one can only last 20k km.. So do the maths lah.. In the long term u really save a lot.. And since the oil is better viscosity, ur gear changes are faster and smoother with slightly lower transmission lost.

QUOTE(dadurtyz @ May 3 2011, 04:20 PM)
any answer why my engine feel rough and jerking with magnatec?
*
Castrol magnatec gives slightly more rougher idling than syntium and helix hx7 in the start.. But then its more stable and doesnt oxidise so fast like other oil.. For me i just went for service today with magnatec grade SN SM oil.. So its even better lah.. hehe.. Today went for 10k service car with Beogatts and Xandras.. They saw my current magnatec oil after 6750km mileage, the oil still golden color and not oxidised.. Its still in damn good condition.. Planning to push my current magnatec oil for 7500km b4 i go service at 20k.

QUOTE(fenrir0402 @ May 3 2011, 04:31 PM)
ooo, so semi synthetic is enough d lo?
caltex semi synthetic can?
my 10k service is due after june, 6 months. so i dont think i'll get a very good lube, normal 1 would suffice
*
Use magnatec lah. Tried and tested.. Caltex semi not tested yet.. U dont get a good lube now, in the future ur engine idling will be very rough and high FC.. Take care must take care from the start mah.

QUOTE(fenrir0402 @ May 3 2011, 05:01 PM)
oo thanks, which is the best semi synthetic lube, in terms of performance and price?
*
Castrol Magnatec 10W-40..

QUOTE(vccy @ May 3 2011, 05:17 PM)
you went to pasar borong there to service your car? I don face any problem before, i am using castro magnetic after 1st service. now mileage 37k d.

fenrir0402, you can use cap ayam lub if you wan to budget. But if engine spoil the warranty void cos SC will said you din use their lub. Why take the risk use cap ayam lub.

I still feel casto magetic is the best. What is the best price did you all get outside? cheapest is get from tesco right?
*
RM100 from Giant and get RM5 voucher.. So RM95 loh.. hehe..

QUOTE(vccy @ May 3 2011, 05:31 PM)
i think your car need some times to suit with the lub gua. Cos wat castro magnetic stated is the lub will keep protecting your engine even you turn off the engine.  thumbup.gif

oh 1st batch persona can flash ecu?
*
Persona biasa cannot reflash.. Only Persona Elegance can reflash.

QUOTE(vccy @ May 3 2011, 06:00 PM)
wa so high ar? i tough front is 210kpa and back is 190kpa? there is tyre description written on the driver door?
*
Yeah.. Thats what the ideal tire pressure if ur car is dry laden. That means no passenger at all, and no petrol in the tank also.. If u got load u need to increase the pressure lah.. U can try 235kpa front 220kpa first.. Then slowly reduce it.. U will see ur FC increasing without noticeable difference in ride comfort.

Yeah.. U save a lot of petrol actually.. Bumpiness depends lah.. For me i can tolerate the bumpiness.. It will feel slightly bumpy only.. If too bumpy for u reduce to 230kpa.. then the feeling almost like stock ride..

No money to use spark-plug, now all money goes to 20k service, last month renew insurance and roadtax
really? but seem's like the jerking dont have anymore. smooth right like before, maybe the oil take sometime to bond the whole engine.
But after re-flash the ECU, gear change more earlier and feel more aggressive than before re-flash my ECU  hmm.gif .
I do feel lightness, i just touch the pedal and the car very vroom2 bellow 2k rpm so fast. don't know magnatec effect or ECU re-flash to latest version.

overall very satisfied  thumbup.gif
*
When u reflash to the latest version it actually makes ur gearbox change gears earlier.. And when u accelerate a bit it drops gears for u very fast.. Older version the gearbox helps to hold ur gear longer so u got better hill climbing ability.. I prefer the older version.
So mb its due to the oil lah.. What oil were u using previously?

smile.gif U can use Rain-X if u want.. Its cheaper.. Saw at Tesco selling for Rm19.90 a bottle.. Dont know how long each application can last though..

wonder why, one year use old firmware already  shakehead.gif
Castrol feel so powerful? Last time 3rd time i use syntium800
*
Yeah it will effect a lot cos if u always change gear up and down u loss a lot of power between transmission.. Higher wear and tear for ur gearbox.
Castrol oil are more stable in the long run.. Doesnt oxidise that fast. So it actually doesnt cause ur engine to be heavy nearing the service schedule. I use my Magnatec for 6700+km and it felt slightly heavier only.. Helix HX7 after 3k km gone case.. Felt like i was driving a 1.3 engine.

Just so I dont get ripped off, any particular filter or spark plugs i should look out for? costs?
Appreciate it again.  biggrin.gif

cheers!

Yeah if u are interested in getting air filter and spark plugs can get it from me asap.. Bulk list closing this friday.
Filter Works the best. No need reoiling kit and provides good filtration compared to stainless steel mesh and K&N filters.
Plugs the best is denso loh.. See the below bulk order for dyno charts and comparison.

wow this thread REALLY FLIES!!!!!! Macam got turbo!

anyways, i went to do alignment today. the last alignment was done few months back & the same talk was given to me. it was said that my front camber lari.

now, since my suspension is completely stock (front) now why on earth that the stock factory fitted suspension camber can lari??? I was not involved in any accidents nor hitting potholes & etc. Next question is, if i were to buy those camber nuts in spare part shops, are they any cheaper than from tire shops????
*
We are preparing for Persona R.. So turbo testing the thread now. XD
Normally the camber nut wont bend under normal driving condition.. Unless u take corners with F1 speed.. lol.
However i have read that if the road camber is tilted too much.. Then in the long term ur camber nut will wear out too..

Lar should have bought lar. Not everyday you see a car (that you were racing against) whack a motorbike and seeing the rider bouncing off the windscreen and rolling on the ground. (he survived)
