I bought my ipad from apple online, I got it early june.

then i exchange 1 to 1 for the light bleeding, then exchange again for dead pixel, but only 1 dead pixel, they didnt even ask bout how many dead pixel i got when i file a case.

and again, another new ipad 2 arrive at my door step for me to unbox, and another 2 dead pixel found!!!..

so from pass 2 months, i been unbox total 4 ipad2 every 2 weeks... lol

and luckily the ipad im using now consider perfect...

so if can, order online!!!!

and remember, talk to apple CS ZURINA!!! she is very helpful than other CS!!!!

What was the Apple Support number that you called? I'm coming back today to Malaysia and will need to send in my iPad 2 (horrible screen bleeding & the glue surrounding the home button is not holding the screen to the body), so need to get them sent in ASAP (I only have a 5 week holiday).

How long was the turn around time?

Ah, mine has light screen bleeding, at one side but not that bad even with the brightness settings up to the max - can live with that I guess.

I sent both my Ipad 2 to machines on Friday and now waiting for the replacement. I don't really care if it's refurbished or new as long as my screen bleeding is fixed. The only thing that I know is that it will not be on 4.3.3 (my 64Gb is on 4.3.3) so if they give me a new or refurbished units, I will not have the SHSH blobs of those device to downgrade the firmware ... darn.

Added on August 11, 2011, 7:26 pmUpdate: got the replacement units today and it's NEW and in 4.3.3 SWEET!

Just bring your iPad. No documentation needed. The will do the check on the spot and will fill up all the necessary forms. All you need to do is to sign the forms. I recmwnd sending it to Machines KLCC. They are very professional and will call you once your replacement set is ready for pickup.

At the moment all replacements are new units. The Machines guys told me that there are no refurbish units for the iPad 2 right now. Heck even the iPad 1 that I send in for warranty was replaced with a new unit.

Yeap, Machines will not take the unit even if the problem has nothing to do with the dent. If you have cosmetic damage, you will be out of luck. So protect the iPad and you won't regret it.

I'm sure you can send it in for repairs but the price will be prohibitive.
