did a quick listening test on hcs 2330 today. was not superbly impressed. the highs were squeaky and breaking apart. could be the audio source. didn't bring my lossless material.
didn't try M3300 because satellite is so thin. need muh wood cabinet.

http://translate.googleusercontent.com/tra...CjQfpiV77LcH4yAsome edifier and sonic gear dissected if you're interested. http://translate.googleusercontent.com/tra...F9hAtX2j7PW50wgSG Evo 7 now comes with a real tweeter, but the RMAA graph dips right down in the high frequency range. finally got the R1600T plus. 50-60Hz bass is thin to non existent. a little bumb in my realtek equalizer fixes this and it copes well. playing music, it's better than HCS2330 and every other sonic gear i tried. i would not recommend this speaker unless you have software equalizer available though.
watching videos is a mixed bag kind of experience. i really do miss the muddy bass of a subwoofer under my table. mainly because you expect speech comes out of the person's mouth and without any center speakers to balance it out, it sounds weird. it mixes out ok when you sit further back though. the bass is not deep enough for explosion booms. s330 or c3 would be a better all rounder.
using the triangle formation, where the speakers are pointing at me does produce a better sound, but it is too directional. if i move a bit it will be out of balance. so i went full casual and point it straight out from the wall.
the tweeter gave me headaches after long sessions. kinda like when i use head or earphones. it's just me, i can't handle all this sound details. i am now hearing sounds that was never produced on my sonic gear.
you need the speakers close to the wall for better bass reflection.
the amp is great. you can only hear it hums if you press your ear real hard to the wood cabinet of the active speaker.
for music listening it's the best thing you can get for RM270. add a cheap 2.1 speaker and map it as center speaker and you get a great 3.1 system for movies. haha, i used my sonic gear for this.

tell me where you're gonna junk your aego2. i'll go pick it up.
if you get a logitech you can make it to 7.2 channel.
if you get an aego m you can make it a 4.2 system.
with 2 subs, get ready for some rumbling. haha.
how about finding out where the white noise comes from?

QUOTE(Cosef @ Aug 25 2012, 01:18 AM) Give your speaker some run in, it always sound fatigue when it is new. only 30 hours in foobar. closer to the wall might give a boomier bass, but a foot away gives a more balance sound. problem is my a lot of my animu songs sounds like crap. they're in flac, so i guess this is a production quality problem. Added on August 25, 2012, 5:02 pmQUOTE(night @ Aug 25 2012, 03:11 PM) If you're more into music, then get the Aego M. If you're more into movie or gaming, then get the SP2500. also note the woofer size. corsair is heug and wide. aego is tall. see if you have the space for it. QUOTE(illuminarias @ Aug 25 2012, 07:06 PM) Just got my sp2500s. bleh it sounds so muddy compared to my old evo7. Hopefully it'll be better after burning in. for 700 it better be. Added on August 25, 2012, 7:50 pmQUOTE(mrteeheetummytums @ Aug 25 2012, 06:31 PM) Wanna ask, 1st post recommend edifier M1380, would the M1370 be the same in terms of audio quality? I don't wanna get the m1380 because I don't really need wired controller, I want to minimize desk clutter. Heh paiseh all you guys talking expensive setups I ask about cheap 2.1 speakers someone in the edifier thread complained of static noise or humming coming from the 1370. QUOTE(mrteeheetummytums @ Aug 25 2012, 08:27 PM) Could it just be his rig setup? I heard poor shielding will generate lots of static and buzz. My old PC use to have it and is very distinct when use my headphones yea, most possibly poor shielding. either that model or that the 1 he's got. there was this store displaying edifier models. they left it all powered on with no source. 1 of them humms and it's the cheaper models. QUOTE(vivakarna @ Sep 8 2012, 03:01 PM) in ur opinion, which one are the best r series that edifier got? in terms of sq. might buying one for my bro setup R1600T plus if you're feeling cheap and don't want an overly huge speakers R1900TIII for better midrange and slightly wider footprint. R2500 or R2600 if you have the desk space and the front bass reflex means you can put it near the wall. i can't put my r1600 near the wall. too boomy.

QUOTE(vivakarna @ Sep 8 2012, 03:12 PM) no. it doesn't. after some breaking in the bass really came to life. 50Hz is weak, so you won't get those rumbling explosion of gunshots. i turned 50Hz up a notch on my realtek onboard. but yea, it's way better than any cheaper 2.1 in my opinion the next best 2.1 compared to my r1600t is the C3. bought edifier m1335 yesterday. and it sounds lol tinny when compared side by side.
