The sound quality is definitely a strong point of superlux. Smoothness or refinement may not there. But compare to other similar price one they are still ahead of them.

You definitely should look at superlux if you want long lasting headphone. It is built like a tank and looks like a tank. They won't give you the sportscar look. The plastic looks cheap but it can withstand torture.

However I suggest you look into hd681 if you want HD668B because the HD668B requires amplification to properly control the speaker and give a better bass punch.

it is a tank, and can withstand a lot torture, my AD300 seems fragile in front of HD660 tongue.gif

M50 definitely a good buy. At that range you can also look at Shure SRH440 and Shure SRH840. They all have different sound so find the one that suits you most.

- My rig ; Phone/Ipod
- What type of usage ; Music
- File format used ; mp3, wma etc
- Genre of music I listen to; everything.

With reference to the above, I'm looking for a earphone(not headphone) below RM100. Just looking for something better than the stock earphones that come with my phone(even if i turn the volume to max, its still pretty soft).

thats pretty much it. thanks in advance.

this might be because the amp in your phone is weak, or the stock earphones is exceptionally hard to drive... what phone are you using currently?

but at less than rm100, i do not have any recommendations for you, the closest i've got for you is Dunu Tridents which is slightly more than your budget.

I'm considering asking a friend of mine from US to buy it there then bring it back for me when he comes down. It'll only go for 450 RM which is a steal . I think Jaben is selling those for 700 RM

lulz, a tank.. but those two tangkai that connecting the two stereo looks fragile. As you guys said it is a tank, ill be looking foward to it.

So what u sayin is HD681 is a simple thing of HD668B? if i buy HD668B i need to have amplifier to get the bass punch. How does it sound without the amplifier?
i was thinkin about hd661 and hd668B, which is preferable? i want to used it for gaming, play some music (genre rock and indie rock mostly) and watch movie.
do you guys know any places to test them? my area TTDI,damansara,PJ or Bukit Beruang, melaka

- My rig : Desktop PC, Macbook Pro
- What type of usage ; Movies. Music
- File format used ; mp3, wma etc
- Genre of music I listen to; Jazz , Ballads, Rock and the occasional Orchestral.

Budget : Would like to keep it below RM200.

Additional notes : Philips SBC HP890 hinge cracked on both sides. Listening to Acoustic Energy Aego 2.1 on Desktop. Have Wharfedale Evo2 floorstanders on Audiovega Tubes. Wife kept asking me to turn down volume tongue.gif ... So I need a pair of headphones.

Not expecting much from headphones ... was looking at Sennheiser HD202 when I read that Superlux HD668B eats it for breakfast. Is it true? I am based in Ipoh and there isn't a place I can audition any of these. Tried AKG 518DJ ... It's nice. IMHO better than Dre Solo HD. But I wanna keep it below RM200. I welcome any suggestions.

I listen to it way into the night ... so noise leak might be an issue.

According to some people I've asked , active noise cancelling can cause headaches , also it disrupts sound quality . M50's are one of the best passive (from what I've read) Also noted would be the B&W P5's smile.gif
