Hi all, need headphone to be used for my guitar.

- Type of usage: Guitar playing, use with Vox Amplug (headphone guitar amp)
- Music genre: Death Metal, Hard Rock
- Budget: <RM300
- Headphone/ earphone type: Headphone
- Other requirements (if any): Huge headroom, can handle boomy bass, scooped mids, warm highs.

Huge headroom is the important one. I'm trying to emulate the sound that I get from playing a half stack tube amp. My Koss KSC75 recabled has that nice headroom, but cannot handle the boomy bass.

Also what is that cheap monitor headphones that looks and sounds like AKG K240?

Hi Sifus and Audio Experts,

I would like some help, would anyone tell me where I can find these type of earphones?

Sony MDR-W08L - Ultra-Lightweight Vertical In-Ear Headphones. I can't seem to find it in the Sony online store. If not Sony brand, any other brand also can.

Many Thanks.

I tried buying through Amazon, unfortunately they do not ship to our part of the world. sad.gif

Actually, many many years ago, my friend had one and I tried it, it was very comfortable. The speaker buds being vertical just sits outside the earhole, unlike the ear plug type, it does not intrude into the ear canal.

Call me old fashion but I don't quite like the ear hook style also, I've tried it before but not to my liking. Anyway, for sports, it is better to use the neck band style, looks cooler. cool2.gif

Many thanks for the suggestion to look at Amazon. wink.gif

Hey thanks bro. I think I'll go for the Phillips headphones, as it is local and Davis is a reputable seller.

Cheers and thanks again for the help.

get ath sj33
*
why? hmm.gif

btw, added one more headphone in the list. Currently have my eyes on Sennheiser HD201/HD202 or ATH SJ11/SJ33 or Pioneer SE-M390.

I already google reviews on them all but the above headphones seems strong at a point but weak at a point at the same time.

Which one do you guys think is balance in SQ? (High, Mid and Low)

one more thing, i love hearing my music using WMP with SRS WoW Effect. Do you guys think the bass heavy headphone is a good tchoice?
