One thing that turn me away from going Mid Valley - TRAFFIC JAM!!!
*
That's why I prefer to take bus or KTM.

Bus is very accessible, because a number of RapidKL buses from western Klang Valley somehow stop at Jalan Syed Putra, a short walk from Mid Valley.

car park...err...is like tht lo...
saturday and sunday u find a single parking need some time...
traffic jam..confirm..
public transport?? i dunno..never take...i go there by car...

For ONECARD holders, the Old Wing preferred parking at LG Floor (only on weekends & public holidays) have lots of empty place! I went there this morning and I was the 2nd car there. When I left around 2pm, still lots of place there.

This will go on at least until Jusco reopens... then you can probably see the crowd again!

If you use your ONECARD to enter the normal parking areas, yes still RM 1 for first 6 hours and RM 2 for every subsequent hour.

Only if you enter the PREFERRED PARKING (you need ONECARD for this) then its RM 2 for first 6 hours and RM 3 for every subsequent hour.

Please remember you need minimum RM5 balance in ONECARD to use it to enter any car park in 1U.

Yes, the Old Wing is starting to look so new & fresh compared to the New Wing. Their new glossy & shiny floor tiles there really gives you a different feel.

Renovation finish? I am not sure, but probably by year-end, since the renovation is done in stages without closing the entire Old Wing. The way I see it I don't think the entire renovation will complete by the time Jusco reopens on August 22.

But currently, the site of the former Jusco dept store is already opened up and renovation is almost complete. On the Level G, it leads to a back entrance with a taxi stand while on Level 2, it leads to a skybridge that links to 1 First Avenue office tower. Some tenant shops area already starting to begin their own renovations and will open soon.

At the new site for Jusco, as of today the workers are busy fitting new floor tiles. Jusco will occupy 4 levels.
LG - Arena Food Court (this was where the Eneos Car Centre located previously)
G - Supermarket, AEON Wellness (pharmacy), La Boheme (Bakery), Delicateseen
1 & 2 - Departmental Store - common sense will tell you the men's & women's depts would occupy Level 1 while electrical, kitchen, bedding, furniture depts would occupy Level 2.

The renovations has also started to move to the Centre Court area. Floor tiles are in the process of being replaced. The Old Wing Customer Service Counter is also undergoing renovation. Some tenant shops are also renovating & relocating.

Currently Jusco Supermarket and Delicateseen + La Boheme are still open at their present location. The Delicateseen + La Boheme area is already partially closed and will be fully closed by end of June for renovation works leaving only the Supermarket to continue operating until just before the reopening where they will move to their new location.

I just came back from overseas. It is advisable to go 1U now? Alot of shops closed? Easy to find parking on weekend? Which sections should I go? Last time before reno also I can't walk the whole mall. Now it's even bigger will die trying to cover the whole mall.

Heard that renovation is targeted to complete by November.

But since Jusco is reopening on 22 August, you don't have to wait till November.
