The Old Wing is nearly 16 years old and renovation is overdue. It wasn't renovated before this as it was managed by AEON (Jusco) but BUCC has taken over the management and now the entire 1U is under one management instead of 2 separate managements before this.

The renovation at the end of the Old Wing involves demolishing walls to make way for Jusco to relocate from its old location to the end of the Old Wing (known as Courtyard). Basically Jusco will occupy the Courtyard section with the departmental store occupying first & 2nd floor, supermarket will relocate from its current location and occupy the Ground floor while Arena food court at the Lower Ground floor at Courtyard section. From information I got, Jusco will be back in full operations in August!

There will be some new shops & also some old shops relocating & renovating around the Old Wing (some have relocated to New Wing).

Btw, there is an updated floor plan of 1U Old Wing if you have an iPhone/iPad and install the "1 Utama" app on it. Jusco will be located at LG125, G125, F125 & S125.

Some other tenants like Popular, Toys 'R Us, etc if not mistaken will reopen earlier, probably June or July.

1 Utama management has put up buntings around the Old Wing announcing their tenants at the Old Wing (some of them are already operating at this moment)

tgv is upgrading as well ... probably will be better than gsc d.... but price i can comfirm is higher than gsc ...

they already supply outdoor parking .. yet ppl like me and everyone else still don't want to utilize it. Dun blame them, Blame ourself.

go apply one card and use the priority parking la .

Its good to have competition. This will eventually compel GSC to upgrade since 1U is one of the important locations for GSC besides Mid Valley & Pavilion.

With Jusco & Uniqlo there, I believe Parkson will be affected in terms of sales figure.

on a random note. if you guys working in ONE U. go to old wing G floor food square for nice cheap malay food. so worth it.

you don't like can go cold storage got promotion after 5. rm 2 can buy 2 pack of nasi lemak.

One thing that turn me away from going Mid Valley - TRAFFIC JAM!!!
