Laptop with 8GB or more can disable the pagefile. nod.gif
according to Intel website, it give longer batter life with a single disk system.

^ Switch 2 HD 6770M

1) Extract the X86-en-zomgwtfbbq.cab file into a folder.(create a folder if don't have)

2) Open Device Manager>right click properties for HD 6770M>click "Update">click "Let me pick from blabla">click "Have a disk" and browse to the folder where u've extracted the X86-en-zomgwtfbbq.cab file.

3) Choose CW116900.inf and click Ok.

For Intel HD, do the same thing but choose CW116937.inf instead. If its fail, u need to wait for Window Update. tongue.gif

wondering soething, the series number is above 108, but in device manager, shows the affected driver..

so do we really ignore it??
i quote from the site:

If the chipset name in Device Manager is not in the “Intel® 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family”, your HP notebook does not have the affected chipset. No further action is necessary.
If the chipset name in Device Manager is in the “Intel® 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family”, your HP notebook may have the affected chipset. See Figure 3.

above statement is not clear. it says " If the chipset name in Device Manager is not in the “Intel® 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family”...

about their technician is base on luck. theres 1 guy quite new there and he doesnt know much. For another guy which is a big higher in position quite pro. their service is quite good seriously, i mean at least they dont drag your time. But i make no promise on that cos when me and my gf reach there no1 is servicing their laptop.

erm, many people went there to service. so i think u better go early.

Added on May 2, 2011, 11:04 pmi found a solution for the left hand side HEAT UP issue.

try to purchase a cooler master which can position the fan.
i position 1 of the fan straight below the "left hand side panel"

so basically i put 2 on the left side and 1 on the middle.
now it wont heat up like yesterday tongue.gif

Yea, device manager will show it is the affected driver. That is why ripwind from notebookreview forum tore his DV6 to check on the chipset number. U can check the thread here.
