Looks like a guide is necessary for this Acid.
Like I said, I experienced the same thing when I first got my dv6.  Try defragging your hard drive, and if that doesn't help, then try restoring your system to factory settings.  It could simply be that something you installed messed up a default program or something.
*
I just restored mine dv6 to default factory setting...but the problem still there. So far Samsung and Toshiba HDD having this problem when copying files from one internal drive to another internal drive, the Windows will slow down dramatically and if I tried loading a game(Warcraft III), it took more than 10s to load!! Can others with Seagate HDD in their dv6 try this? Hope for some feedbacks sad.gif

No point buying the higher end 6108, the processor has the same amount of cache, and is just marginally faster.

As for the graphics, 2GB VRAM in a mid range card is just pointless and just fools uneducated consumers who think more is better.

Your partition both using the same filesystem? How fast the is transfer speed? hmm.gif

Like i said, i don't have another partition to test on, but i have a 16GB pendrive. So i copied 10GB HD video files into the pendrive while running NBA2K11, playing a 1080P, Foobar2k running playing my FLAC audio, Google Chrome, Opera, Window Live and Photoshop idling on the background.

The video is running smooth, audio playback of the video and foobar2k is smooth, the NBA2k11 is smooth and no lag when i alt+tab-ing windows.
