After 3 yrs complete cover warranty, you still  can extend the warranty to another 3 more yrs.++. Gold warranty.. etc..
For replacement, sometimes dell will request to email them the pic of the dmg part. Their onsite staff will come direct to your place to replace it.
Their onsite staff are well trained and equip with necessary parts n equipment to fix the hardware/parts problem.

Added on June 22, 2011, 9:48 amI just provide discount service to buy dell laptop for my customer.

Register your laptop for warranty la laugh.gif
You need to do that regardless of which brand you choose. Its easy to find in Dell's website  nod.gif

ps: You would want to burn your recovery discs as well..
*
Wait the minute. U mean to say, I have to register online? I uninstall almost everything already. All no lights. Looks even sexier laugh.gif . All alien software, command etc all I uninstall. Seem useless. Quite smooth doing designing work. I tested combining Photoshop, illustrator, coreldraw and play miniclip. Surprisingly, can cope nicely but a little bit lag (Not that obvious).

Currently, have to do some slight adjustment on my eye side coz it's so small laugh.gif . I still have not sleep yet. So into it right now hehe.

Any nice tips to share with me laugh.gif

Uninstalled everything as in EVERYTHING?  laugh.gif AlienFX you also uninstall?  shocking.gif
You should at least burn your recovery discs 1st.. perhaps you wanna Alienrespawn or something...
*
Nah. Took me 2 hours to think. So I decided to uninstall everything. Initially it's nice. But after 15 minutes going to everything, kind of bored. So uninstall everything and put doremon wallpaper (Even nicer laugh.gif ).

To me, if I want everything to be back to default, I format everything lor (Default setting) restart and F2 is it?

If I don't register online, will it effect anything? By right Dell should have all my details + warranty countdown right?

Added on June 29, 2011, 10:26 amAnybody here knows when the turbo kicks in? Is there any indicator? Like mine is 1.5 turbo till 2.6. How to know?

^ You could just turn off the lights and do all the necessary settings via AlienFX. Its one of the best programs ever to come with a laptop  nod.gif

Well, if you don't register, you're the one taking the risk  sweat.gif Its just a few clicks away anyway...

There's an Intel Turbo Boost program for you to monitor the clock speeds.. but then its just a waste of resources that's why Dell decided to omit them from Alienware units...
*
Oooooooooooo. Okok, I will get the alien command back laugh.gif . Yup, registering now keke laugh.gif

Thanks for the tips bro notworthy.gif

Dont have to register online. All your details & warranty already updated by the dell sales person.
Unless u want to chg ur information eg. like address chg, etcs  u can go to dell website or call dell to update it for u.

To chk warranty, just key in ur service tag to chk ur warranty status.
http://supportapj.dell.com/support/topics/...=dhs&~ck=anavml

Any enquiries on the alienware system can call dell support for home user at : 1800-88-0022
http://supportapj.dell.com/support/topics/...dhs1&l=en&s=dhs

You already pay for the Dell support when u bought the alienware system, just provide the service tag n they will assist u.

Thanks bro notworthy.gif.

Added on June 30, 2011, 7:59 amOk, I already completed all my setup. I done my graphic work and networking with my desktop publishing company (Second job). Impressive. This bugger can compete with normal pc. Excellent choice if you into small notebook. But preferably, 16gb is a must. Bugger, all my ram (8gb) used up when I doing my designing rclxub.gif .Monitoring via gadgets (sidebar on desktop).

I already explore everything but still can't find the turbo up indicator. Is there's any?

Overall is a recommended machine if u into portability. Waiting for R4 now. Hope will be 2.0g above processor.
