Mr.Docter, add in my name please. M11X R3 here laugh.gif (Waiting for R4 now)

Guys, just to check with you all

Bios Matter
- Advanced Menu -> Intel SpeedStep = Allows you to enable or disable the intel Speedstep technology. Disabling this may improve performance but will greatly reduce battery life.

What does it mean? Currently mine is Enable. Should I disable to get more speed & power? I don't plan to use battery anyway cause I already disable battery charging at Charger Behavior

Any advise here?

Thanks in advance you guys notworthy.gif

That one is to downclock your CPU when idle..
If you disable it, your CPU will run full power all the time even though you are not using it or just typing on a notepad...
*
Meaning should I just disable it to get more power? According to Dell, they said won't feel much different. is the same thing. hmm.gif

Question2.

I bought AcBel 90w adapter as alternative ac for traveling purposes. Unfortunately, my notebook display a warning message stated the ac not compatible. The system will auto adjust the power setting by pressing F2.

Now, my question is can we still ignore this message and use the acbel ac (90 watt)? My major concern is, i scare it will fry the motherboard. Reason i said this because I experience it once using my compaq. Yup. the ac is same watt and everything but it's not original.

Need opinion here.

Thanks.

^ Don't think that as a good idea.. Just stick with your original power adapter. Few hundreds grams might save your beloved Alienware from damaged especially during full straining.

Hello Docter laugh.gif . Yup, I thought so. I might have to call Dell to get 1 more set as back up. Usually how much the item cost?

Boss, never add my name as family members cry.gif
