Doc, i haven't go to broadway just yet, a bit caught up with work, will inform you shortly.

Guys, those with the m17x R3, any issues so far?.....i'm gonna receive my next week, and i'm already trying to stock up games to play...i might buy COD black ops this weekend, and maybe pre-order the witcher 2...
*
U gonna face overheat issue like mine, but still doesn't effect any performance, no throttling. Other stuff is nice....

haha, well, honestly, Dell's marketing strategy mostly focuses on using online selling and stuff, hence i think if you want to get it in retail shops...it's a little bit skeptical, and by the way, if you're getting the laptop in retail outlets, i think the specs are most probably not what might want....
Overheat issue?!....hmmm...is it advisable for me to get the cooler master pad then?....
*
no need, just keep eye on dell update website to have BIOS update. the heat issue is because of fan problem which only spin when the GC and proc is vry hot

Mostly high end graphic card is minor different compare each other. Just the graph of the review made the customer mind what to buy. Simply just a few fps different.

Well, those among us here who desire M18x can request GreaseMonkey90 to purchase M18x from Dell Canada on their behalf. In other words, they can choose to boycott Dell Malaysia by not buying M17x-R3. After the purchase is done, the M18x warranty can be transfered to Malaysia.

In short, such way can make Dell South Asia, in particular Dell Malaysia, lose out any potential profit they can gain by ensuring the availability of M18x in Malaysia. Besides that, it will make them regret their very decision not to release M18x in Malaysia.

Sorry for the harsh comment, guys. I just cannot help it, knowing that Dell Malaysia has denied us Malaysians the chance to easily own M18x.

haha i totally feel ya !!!!
so grease monkey huh ? imma contact him on august !!!!!

Even though is international warranty, but the condition to able claim warranty is that country must have the model offer, if not, warranty is not valid for that country.....(100% comfirm)

@ Alvin, im sure Dell Marketers are professional in marketing and survey, do u know XPS 1730 how many unit sold in malaysia? Do u know M17x how many unit sold in Mlaysia? not to say dell, do u know AsusN90 sold how many units? MSI GX7xx series sold how many units? if they launch in malaysia they gonna lost a lot instead of gain profit. In Malaysia Big Big laptop have the least demand in the past few year, some how malaysian mind will think that "buy such a big laptop, i rather go for desktop and laptop"(included me), portable? lol, even if u going overseas for study, for sure few years, 2 years? 3 years? or more, buy a desktop there put inside ur room for gaming, when on go, bring another laptop, if would like to game, buy smaller size like M15x, or m14x? dont tell me u gonna heavy gaming on battery mode

*

Hi everyone, wanna check on something...

m17x-r3, may i know what speakers it comes with? i know its from Klipsch, but is it 5.1 ? coz i find the sound is still soft (or maybe i'm too use with my new speakers bombing), even though i have max the sound in terms of in-game and laptop, but still kinda soft, is that normal?

Appreciate the advise, thanks.
*
M17x-R3 have 2.0 with setreo speaker, where the sound wont be so nice. 5.1 just through speaker or headset which have 5.1 jacks. currently the best speaker still goes to XPS series......

Ok i decide d =D

Alienware M17xR3
Roccat Kone+
Roccat Apuri
Razer Destructor
Cooler Master Notepal U3
Steelseries 7H USB ( The one doc recommend had too many wires imo >.<)

gonna buy it during august !!!
hope to join u guys ASAP =D
*
Destructor will be very annoying. I will prefer roccat sense. Headset go for kave is better than any same range headset. Even though other7.1 is virtual only. Kave with true 5.1 output is a lot better than 7.1 ur laptop have 5 jacks so u have to fully utilise it. Not buying a head set only with 1 green jackz. Wasted

The corner there will crack and like lift up its head. Hahaha sense is more flexible and more portable , and can be band(forget how to spell). And also hard case. Sense would be the best choice since i had all of that^^. Roccat fans as well.... i sold all my razer product except ferox
