I can say that I used to be on the same boat as you, Four months ago I was 174cm tall and 51 kg in weight. So I started going to the gym, took Serious Mass, increase my food intake, and I'm now 60kg. But based on my experience, don't be fooled by your fast gain early on. I gained 3kg in just 2 weeks of going to the gym, but over time, the gain will get slower and slower. So I suggest you to measure your chest, bicep, stomach and tight maybe twice a month to check your progress because I think that method will give you a more accurate data of your growth.

I also take 2 scoops of protein a day and its better taking 1 scoop at a time because our body can only absorb 25gm of protein per meal. Anymore than that it will just be wasted by our body.

From my gym trainer and my lectures. So I think that their facts have weights behind them. They said if you want to consume lots of protein make sure to space out each meal for about 2 hours.

hmm then what's the point of taking mass gainer which will give u around 50g protein each serving?
even though mass gainer also gives lots of calorie besides protein, but won't it be a wastage since half of the protein it gives won't able to be absorbed by our body?

Like I said, space out between each serving like 1 scoop in the morning, 1 at night or 1 before workout, 1 after. I think whats important is to just enjoy your journey in bulking up. Don't ever feel down when say, you cannot bench press more weights or you cannot do heavy dumbell curls even after many visits to the gym. I used to be like this. Went to the gym full of determination for one month then stop due to my high expectations.

I only got my motivation back when I find a gym partner to go with 4x a week. Do your best each day and you will be getting bigger and stronger. I keep telling myself that this is not a competition, and everyone has their own pace in bulking up. in my first month I went from 51 to 55 kg, my 2nd month I went up to 57 kg, my 3rd month I was 58kg and now I'm 60kg. So yeah its a slow progress but a progress none the less and I'm very happy with myself. I used to only wear long sleeve t-shirts every time I go out (with another layer underneath) because I was so embarrassed with my skinny self. Well now not anymore, I'm still skinny but my self confidence has gone up and it helps me in communicating with others.

So eat well, and sometimes you have to force yourself to eat more especially breakfast (in my case atleast). Oatmeal is very good to have as breakfast. I used to have trouble eating them so my trainer suggested that I add honey to them. And you know what? It tastes goddamn delicious. Oat + Milk + Honey is now like the best breakfast ever.

Go for a full health screening...if nothing wrong...then congrats...you must be one of those lucky one with extra high metabolism...but enjoy while it lasts...it will slow down as we age...if you're thinking of buffing up...try those high protein shakes or diet....it will help you add on lean mass....

I can say that this is quite true, my father got rejected from receiving army scholarship because he is well below 50kg back then. Now he weights more than 80kg even though he jogs often.

But, gaining weight for those who are underweight is easier said than done. It really is.

Any brand of oatmeal will do. I live in Egypt so I just get the local brand since its cheaper.

First, mix and blend a cup of cold water with half a cup of milk ( I usually use a blender.

Then mix it with 9 spoon of oat and 2 spoon of honey. I usually add a banana too. Try it, it tastes like milkshake!
