each side requires 125w rms @ 4ohm. so just look for a matching amp dat can give u around 100w rms @ 4ohm per channel. remember joe, bigger amps need bigger cables. thus, more expensive installtion... yea, ICE is all abt money.
at bcae1, go to the 8.ohm to learn more. know the ohm law, and match the rms watts rating accordingly. this site is very helpful if u really wan to learn more, slowly read 1 by 1. know u r lazy to read up thus asking the bonus question. smile.gif

of cos the 2nd one is better. see how linear the response is till 20kHz. the first one has a big spike at 5kHz. even if u install at 90 degrees angle it still can't play linear up to 20kHz.

not sure wats the bottom one indicates. i juz look at the freq response at diff angle. u see 0, 90 and 180, those are the angle pointed at u, at 0 degress it's called on axis means directly pointing at u. off axis means pointing away from u. i dunno why the first one on axis is 180 degress, usually it's 0 degree. to know if it's on axis, juz see the graph with the furthest extension and highest peak, those are usually on axis cos u dun lose freq due to angle problem. altho some tweets are more suitable for off axis installation. juz refer to this type of graph to know wat it is capable of.

2 ok ok speakers are oledi dat price. unless u wan 2 lousy speakers then maybe 300 can get. and oso if u wan a woofer, u have to install an amp for it as well. i think dat need almost 800 for a lousy amp and sub + installation and sub box.

perhaps 1.5k will be optimum, 500 for HU, 500 for component set, 300 for a 2 channel amp, and 200 for installation. smile.gif

boston easy to drive. sounds gud as well for its price. i had a SL60 before, can blast and sing without problem, very versatile speaker. midbass is not dat strong tho, but for sure it is clear sounding.

dunno bout SX60, but since i owned the SL60 before, it sounds more or less like wat u said, midbass accurate but not enuf ommph, need sub to cover the lower freq. after amplifying it will give u much fuller sound. it depends on which HU u using oso. try dun face the tweeter directly to u, it might sound harsh at times. it's not a bad speaker overall. if u are able to stretch ur budget, i suggest u to go for the best. if u dun mind, maybe a 2nd hand product will give u much more satisfaction for the price paid.

For my ears, SL60 sounded better than R6A and Type R. but R6A definitely has more bass, juz dat i dun like the midrange, very dull and has a gap between low mid and high, type R is quite powerful, more to SPL/SQL application, can go quite loud. SL60 is the smoothest among these 3. after getting the SL60, most stock sound system and cap ayam sounded crappy.

neva tried SX60. i jumped from cap ayam to SL60. smile.gif for me, i wouldn't bother spending the money for entry lvl unless i am really tight on budget. as u said, once u heard a better one u won't wanna go back. smile.gif SL60 lasted me for 2-3 yrs before i decided to upgrade again. most sifu will tell u to go for the best u can afford.tongue.gif
