yup, tweeter is a bit harsh if faced directly towards u. i dun think proton amp is a gud choice for upgrade. better save up till u get a proper amp unless u insist on using the proton, if the tweeter sounds harsh to u, get a warm sounding amp. and play around with the angle of the tweeter. i like the crossover, cos it's very solidly built.

i believe if u read thru most of the posts. u will know pre amp is not a choice. better get a better HU dat has more outputs and the capability to control every channel independently.

rear speakers are a total waste of money if u upgrade it to hi end ones.

if u need bass and on tight budget, best is get an amp to pair with a 6x9" speaker.
