Guys,

Just found this tread and i've been going through my previous purchases.

Found out that using CIMB Cash Rebate MC

July 12
Online purchase from UK website.
Calculated fee was 3.25%

Nov 24
Online purchase from a diff UK website.
Calculated fee was 2%

Mayban2Card VISA
May 30
1.85%

May 31st
2.4+%

I calculated based on transaction date. Is it suppose to be transaction or the posting date?
Just curious why one of it had a 3.25% rate.
Does the website/seller play a role in the rates as well?

my apologies is this has been discussed many times. When using credit card overseas, usually we go with local currency / foreign currency selection during payment?

Hi Guy, I not sure i asking the question in the correct place or not.

I was in HK few weeks back, when using credit card. The merchant ask, wanna charge in HKD or MYR ?

Which one should i choose ?
and can explain why ?

Thanks.

choose local currency, ie NON MYR
their conversions are mostly higher than banks
