zenquix has confirmed that even overseas transactions made with the MBB2 AMEX are based on the transaction date and not the posting date.
*
i thk this happened due to the last day of the month and the last weekend of the month falls on the same day
normally the transaction would have posted before the cash back calculation

maybe mbb need to shift the cash back calculation to the 2nd or 3rd day of the month to avoid this

Maybankard2 Amex
Transaction date : 11-Apr-2012
Posted date : 13-Apr-2012
Amount charged in foreign currency : USD80
Amount billed in MYR : RM251.53
Final exchange rate : USD1=RM3.1441

Maybankard2 Amex
Transaction date : 11-Apr-2012
Posted date : 13-Apr-2012
Amount charged in foreign currency : USD6
Amount billed in MYR : RM18.86
Final exchange rate : USD1=RM3.1433

From the above seems like the exchange rate is different for the same card on the same day on same currency - USD rclxub.gif

================================

Maybankard2 Visa
Transaction date : 11-Apr-2012
Posted date : 13-Apr-2012
Amount charged in foreign currency : KRW48450
Amount billed in MYR : RM132.62
Final exchange rate : KRW1000=RM2.7373

SCB JustOne Titanium Master
Transaction date : 11-Apr-2012
Posted date : 13-Apr-2012
Amount charged in foreign currency : KRW12,000
Amount billed in MYR : RM32.96
Final exchange rate : KRW1000=RM2.7467

Forex rate from Al-Rajhi counter at KLIA on 08-Apr-2012 : KRW10,000 = RM33.00; worst than both the cards above

Normally Master rate is better than Visa rate, but SCB admin charges is higher than MBB. So I guess the best forex rate can be obtained through MBB Master. But for MBB, are there any difference for the rates between different MasterCard - Gold, Platinum, M2 Platinum, World?

I posted in 2009 in my blog that for my AMEX card, I did 3 transactions at Universal Studios LA minutes apart (because of some discount thingy for certain amount if not mistaken) and all 3 transactions different rates.

Hi guys,

I need advice. I plan to get a credit card mainly for overseas online transaction. From the first post, it stated that Maybank has the lowest admin charge of 0.5%

However the previous pages showed that the charges are now around 1%.

Should I continue to get Maybank CC? Did the admin charge increase?

Thanks!

go for MBB mastercard, will not be wrong

OCBC Titanium - Paypal transaction
Transaction Date: 30 Apr 2014 morning 9am (shown as 29 Apr in OCBC online)
Posting Date: Not shown, first appeared in OCBC online 02 May 14
Transaction amount: USD41.60
Amount charged: RM139.01
Effective rate: USD1 = MYR3.3416
Bank Charges: Above 2%

M2 Amex - Paypal transaction

Hi all, I'm new to buying stuffs using paypal. (i'm still a student)

I can choose to use their rate.. 1 MYR = 0.24 US dollar

OR using the card's bank rate. I checked here but don't really understand the rates..

What does the selling TT/OD, buying TT, buying OD mean?

Selling TT/OD = 4.2100
Buying TT = 4.0600
Buying OD = 4.0500
*
just choose card's bank rate
paypal rate is doh.gif doh.gif
