QUOTE(Bugeca @ Apr 20 2011, 02:58 PM) Samsung should drop TouchWiz and replace with TouchWizGTG. At least can have 5 icons dock bar, no icon background and can rotate. +1Hey, Apple! Suck it, bi*ch! My phone is similar like your iCrap, only that it's better! P/S: if Samsung lose to Apple, maybe we'll get TW 4. This post has been edited by lOrDjAbU: Apr 20 2011, 03:09 PM |

QUOTE(zumapuma @ Apr 20 2011, 05:22 PM) oooh look what i found from XDA why not freeze that apps instead?"The fix has been working on JVK and JVB ROMs, check other threads about this issue. You can delete the data of the Software Update application, but it will be regenerated after a reboot. If you want to get rid of this, just root the phone and delete the following APKs syncmldm.apk syncmlds.apk wssyncmlnps.apk Just look at this: After 17 hours with light usage, still 68% battery." anybody tried this before? |

QUOTE(zumapuma @ Apr 20 2011, 06:53 PM) Someone found out how to completely fix ur GPS problem. u mean press the screw? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1043034 all u have to do is remove ur SGS casing and press lightly(put pressure) on the top of ur gps antenna(to the right of the speaker) so what this guy did was he applied some double sided tape at the top of the antenna i tried pressing the top of the gps antenna and immediately locked up to 12 sats. sorry for the bad pic, i couldnt screen cap just now. too bad for darky supporters.
lucky I stopped using his rom. or else I might be disappointed. BTW, I don't notice any improvement to my gps after doing that "pressure fix". I tried both with and w/o, almost the same result. no ground-shattering result or whatever. I cleared gps data, reboot prior to every test. either pushed too hard or my gps is completely f***ed up, idk. thanks BTW to zumapuma for bringing this to our attention. |

Settings>Display>Power saving mode
I just found out that this make our phone automatically limit its brightness when battery level is below 10%. not as efficient as HTC power saving mode, but still quite nice. |

Things I like about leaked/pulled gingerbread are:
1- general UI smoothness (even without custom kernel!) 2- apps load so QUICK! (settings> applications> manage applications). Apps list in Titanium Backup also load quickly. 3- over glow effects and CRT-like screen off animation. Things I don't like: 1- battery drain caused by Android OS. (not as bad as CM7 or MIUI) Things I like with MIUI: 1- awesome UI, even though it looks like cheap iphones imitation which some Android old-timers hate so much. 2- don't need to install certain apps. (droidwall, widgetsoid, 3g watchdog, etc) this resulted in less memory consumption, which is great. Things I don't like: 1- SUPER-DUPER lag no matter what kernel i'm using. (embarrassed so much when one of my Apple-fanboy friend play with my phone) I think you guys know how happy those guys to see that. 2- MAJOR battery drain problem! That's why i'm back to Froyo, where it's smooth and stable and SMOOTH. This post has been edited by lOrDjAbU: Apr 24 2011, 10:55 AM |
