Some good news from The Digital Bits:
QUOTE [Editor's Update - 4PM PDT: Lionsgate has just informed us that the information Walmart had posted on their website - and we reported here earlier - regarding the September/October retailer-exclusive BD release of Pulp Fiction, The Others, The Crow, Mimic and Jackie Brown is NOT accurate, but that the studio will be officially announcing more Miramax Blu-rays soon.] This post has been edited by low98944: Jun 22 2011, 08:43 AM |

QUOTE(zephyryj @ Jun 22 2011, 10:49 AM) Yup, UK is dirt cheap, but remember checking region before proceed as UK is region B locked, so only region Free title can play for us in normal BD player.Beside this, UK packaging is different, UK seldom do fancy packaging compare with US. Certain movie might be more censored than US also. QUOTE(low98944 @ Jun 21 2011, 03:10 PM) Now, studios are getting use to split film into 2 BDs Good and bad. Better PQ & AQ since more space to breathe over 2 BD-50s, but inconvenient to get up and change disc in the midst of the movie (potong stim). Personally, I prefer if they fit it all in one disc. I'm a lazy bugger. Time to step up to BD-100. Example One, is done by New Line Cinema on Lord of the Rings: Extended Editions and another example is Warner Bros. on Ben-Hur: 50th Anniversary Ultimate Collector's Edition due to newly-remastered frame by frame from the original 65mm elements in stunning 8K resolution - the highest resolution restoration ever done by the Warner Bros. |
