ok, something about ALLIANCE, this high $ of ALIANCE release merely use the dif steelbook, the pic quality (in fact the disc) is same with UNIVERSAL US release. same go to GANG OF NEW YORK & NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MAN.

UK ARROW release got good packaging, multi choices of cover & region free.

you might also want to consider the US BLUE UNDERGROUND release.

this 2 studios using dif sorce & the pic/sound & extra are dif.

go to DVD beaver for comparison, normally BLUEUNDERGROUND got getter pic but ARROW got better extra. Price wise, ARROW is cheaper if included freight.

Best Lucio Fulci - Zombie 2 not yet released, The New York Ripper has the best pic quality for slasher movi.

Dario Argento - DEEP RED, SUSPIRIA, TENEBRE, INFERNO, BIRD WITH CRYSTAL PLUMAGE all are good 1970s/80s movi & all either released or comin soon.

Brother NAZ is expert in this.

i started collect VCR when i was age13. i went to restaurant washed dishes every week to earned RM25 for 2 VCR. I got over 500 VCR & i throwed all away last year when i really got no space to keep it, besides, my VCR player gone.

I switched to VCD, then DVD. I got over 1,000 DVD, and again sell/throwed/gave away nearly 500 discs. Now i left 500 good DVD titles, i still enjoyed DVD, especially thoses title not yet available in BLURAY format.

Now i am in Bluray. I just hope it will stay longer b4 i need to "waste" money again.

is this movie good? - i think the most important thing is are u enjoying it? dif people dif taste, dif director/actor dif style. some good movi is hard to watch, some bad movi is easy to be enjoyed.

piranha is brainless but fun. it is short but u would not feel boring. i watched it at midnight & i didn't fall asleep. infact i quit enjoyed it. scr*wed the critics & reviews, just to enjoyed it.

ya, have to highlight ALLIANCE release is not consistent, but it is selling at C$15 only! for the trilogy with good packing.

do not overestimate the big studio release. FROM DUSK TILL DAWN US Dimension release is far worse than my ALLIANCE release.

The packaging impressed me on this release. It comes in a nice sturdy slipsleeve with the artwork embossed in shiny red against a nice blue background. The discs (3 total) are all housed in a dual foldout cardboard packaging inside, with disc one on the left side of the foldout and discs 2 & 3 are housed one on top of the other on the right side.
All 3 movies come on individual BD25 discs and are all 'barebones' - no trailers, or features whatsoever, so hang on those SE DVDs if you still need to have the Special Features.
However, video is quite nice, the package indicates 1080i, but I cannot confirm. There appears to be grain present and ALL three movies come in the OAR of 2.35:1.
A little surprise for me came as I also discovered that all 3 movies come with audio flavors in English 5.1 DTS HD-MA, and 5.1 DD (note that the back of the box only claims DD 5.1).
Until there is another truly definitive release of this trilogy, for both audio and picture quality, and for the price makes it an easy upgrade.

look at the positive side, u pay low freight $ but u enjoy first class speed, the only drawback is the custom/Finas.

DHL made "THE CALL" at 10.05 this morning
JOHNBLURAYLOVER driving "Fast & furious" to BANDAR PERDAH, meet "A FEW GOOD FINAS MEN" & obtained the FINAS licence at 12.30pm & gone back to work in 60 seconds
At 2.15 JOHN will scan & email the FINAS to DHL.

hopefully before the weekend John will received 4 steelbook to enjoy.

By the way, my INCREDIBLES arrived today, heard from my wife, is in bad condition.

i never thaugh of this question, i don't think is related to mail box cause the postman always ring my bell & delivered it personally.

mr. nice guy like me also never offend nobody.

the only thing dif between me & you guys are i always order large quantity, at least 5 disc & above. it could be the packing issue. i will try to cut down the quantity/shipment & try it out.

turn out my INCREDIBLES is in very good condition, my wife kacau me lah.

today expecting AMZ CANADA to arrive, hope in good condition.

brother, i believe you watch it with LCD/LED?

GRAIN is natural for movi, especially those shoot at film. However, when transferring the movi with heavy grain to BD, somehow lots of movi got bad treatment in grain, especially watcing via LCD/LED.

i watch 300 BD by projecting it at large screen, i felt it looks gorgeous.

the other movi looks bad at LCD/LED but gorgeous at Projector is TOMBSTONE.

another AMZ GERMAN package arrived today - 3 disc, these are the replacement disc from AMZ DE,
PSYCHO - 1st time i got a good steelbook withot disc inside, this time the STEELBOOK broken, but fortunately what i want is the disc. others 2 i hope it is in good condition.

I still haven't got the AMZ CANADA package, log into system, noticed the custom has delayed the clearance 3 times, need to call DHL later again for clarification. i don't think it will arrive today.

some scary info -
normally the CUSTOM inspection is to open the packing box & checking the disc cover wihout actually open the plastic shield.
somehow PENANG CUSDOM at DHL actually open the case & took out the disc! i don't know why, i suspect they actually watch the movi.
so , the new item we bought from AMZ CANADA actually being used already by our CUSDOM?
