All deductable receipts that you put in the e-filling must keep for 7 years included your EA form that your company gave you.

Going to LHDN office is your choice. Maybe you can have a friendly chat with them, then you learn more.

If you earn >rm30k for that 7 months , then you must, if far from it, then no need la... but of course your choice!

Registration and filing doesn't mean you have to pay tax already. Filing without paying tax is just a record in the tax department.

My calculation, total income of rm30k-9k personal relief, -2.7k EPF - rm400 rebate (for chargeable income below rm35k), you need to just pay minimal tax. Since yours only 25k+, then no need to pay tax....

If you really dont understand a word, then maybe give them a call and ask whether there is any roadshow arround your area or shopping mall, then go and ask them to show you how to do it. Else employ a tax agent.

I mentioned earlier that first e-filing tax payer can register online... well this is for those already with tax number. As for those without tax number, you have to go to the nearest tax department to fill a form and get your tax number before you can do e-filing. Sorry for the mistakes.

I filed e-filing end of March and went to Jalan Duta yesterday for other matters and was casually asking about the status of my refund and was shown their system that they have just review my file and I should be expecting my cheque in the next one week.

Hope it will come ASAP to buy more shares...

I e-filed 30 March, cheque received dated 20 April and in my mail box 22 April. Looks like they dont bank for those using Maybank.
