Hey guys I wanna ask, is there any way to increase my SNR and decrease my output power(dBm) ?

I tried to upgrade to 4 mbps twice but unsuccessful because they say my SNR too low and my output power(dBm) too high.

My SNR is always below 10 and my output power(dBm) is always about 50.

sounds like job for TM and/or the developer of your housing unit. in my case my SNR is good but line attenuation is about 36..I told was due to distance to DSLAM and/or copper line quality.

as mentioned in this thread http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/166678

"SNR 15 and below = Very FREQUENT disconnections. You should consult telekom to have your line checked, most cases are because the line are too old and once they are changed they're fine (the lines on the telephone poles). If you're using a lightning surge protector. REMOVE it. they are known to weaken the signal by around 50-70% in order to prevent the surge on devices."

The thing is, I barely meet disconnection with this low SNR, and technician came yesterday and after checking the copper line outside the house, told me the problem lies with the wiring in my house, should I call TM again to check my house?

if they say outside is ok, then no choice rewire the main connection point inside your house then.can complain to housing developer if house is new and under warranty still.

What ip addresses are you guys getting for the 4MB package?

I keep getting 175.42.1.XXX and 175.42.0.XXX and both these IPs are really damn slow at night from 8pm to 11pm. Am in Johor Bahru.

in butterworth its 175.40.x.x. no performance issues so far. its been only 3 days since have gotten my 4MB line. keeping fingers crossed
